Brian was alright.

Brian is new to this role, he will ease into it over the coming weeks, give him time. I think he did ok for his first show. You got 10 years or so of Davina and only 1 episode of Brian... not a fair comparison. Davina wasn't special on her first show.

Agreed. I'm not big on Brian because he's so up himself, but I think he did a fair job tonight. Nobody would have been able to fill Davina's shoes, but at least Brian is enthusiastic, a real fan of the show, and knows how it works. To me that's good enough.

I do agree although he did a great job.
Hes allready replaced her, doing a far better job than she done in her first go.....

As much as I love Davina, she got a bit over the top in the last couple of series. Brian is refreshing and did a very good job on his first show. He will ease into the role over time but from what Ive seen, hes going to be a brilliant presenter.

He did great! He just needs to stop saying 'yes' so much and be more confident.

Davina was **** towards the end anyways.
Brian did great tonight. And once he gets used to the role, obviously he will be able to settle down more and be himself.

Davina was bang tidy i miss her :(
But brian did a good job he was nervous and there were a couple of awkward moments but he pulled it off and his natural humour will come out more after he relaxes into it.
He will be great at it.

As much as I was very anti-Brian in threads before I will put my hands up and say that he was perfect and very professional last night and just the right amount of fun. He reacted to Pamela well and kept everything under control. Great replacement. :)

I thought he did an amazing job last night. Imagine the pressure on him. He coped well and is well on the way to making it his era of the show.
Once the nerves start to go he'll be brilliant:love:
So much better than Davinas constant gurning

I think Brian did a really good job, he kept the commenting to aminimum, he got the celebrities interviewed and in well in the time frame of the programme, he was funny, clearly had first time nerves, however he kept the show moving and involved the crowd.
I never once thought of Davina, as in the last 2 series at least, she seemed to think it was her own personal show and only her opinion mattered.
Well done Brian, I feel this is a job he has now for as long as he wants it.

I think Brian was terribly - terribly - nervous, and I can understand that. This is the show that made him, and now here he is presenting it. And it was a relaunch on another channel. I think he's going to ease himself into the role and relax, then we'll see how well he can do it.
I was really disappointed with Emma though. Although I really do like her, I thought her show was a bit car-crashy.

I don't think he's trying to replace anyone really, he's just trying to make the new look show his own. It's understandable that he was probably extremely nervous last night and naturally over time he'll get better.

Morning Joey.
I agree with everything you said... particularly about Davina. I didn't realise I hadn't thought of her until you mentioned it.

Yeah I thought this too. I like Emma and she has been brilliant as a co-presenter but I wondered last night if she was going to be good at carrying the show on her own. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and see how it goes though as being the only presenter is new to her.
Oh and as for Brian, it was the first night of the biggest job in his career , a giant leap from anything he has ever done before, probably the most nerve-racking night of his life. Give him a break pleeeeeease:bored:

Good Morning to you too Livia, hope you are well.
I have to agree with you as well particularly towards Emma(who usually I like),although I enjoyed the comments from guests on her show,I in the end was left pleased that she hadn't been given the presenting role for the main CBB and BB series.
She lacked continuity and also in my view presence too.

Fine thank you Joey. Hope you are too.
I hope it was all just nerves with Emma, like it seemed to be with Brian. I think I was more shocked with Emma because she's a more experienced presenter. I've got my fingers crossed that now the nerve-wracking first night is over they'll both settle into their roles.

I don't think that was really her fault though. They had her running all over the place & constantly up and down from those chairs that were barely off the ground. That can't be easy for someone that is pregnant! Hopefully they will make some changes in the next show. It has great potential with her as the host.

I thought Brian was really good, a bit nervous as expected but he'll be fine once he settles into the role:). I liked some of the stuff he was coming out with and the interactions he had with the housemates before they went in!
Emma did a good job too IMO, you can't fault her passion for the show it's that obvious.

Brian is fine, leave him alone.
And I'm not even a huge fan of him. And this whole Davina x Brian, Channel 4 x 5 is tedious now, just go away.
I thought Brian did fine, he just needs to learn to not speak in a stifled way that lets you know he is reading.
But most of off they need to fix his teleprompter/que cards and get them out of the bottom left hand corner!
Don't they have camera's with the built in prompter?
He wasn't bad, a bit nervous and maybe tried a bit too hard, he'll get better as the show goes on though
