Is Big Brother Going To Be Scripted?, gavin henderson excutive producer says this..
Big Brother does what it does extremely well but it isn’t a TOWIE or a Made In Chelsea… But the humour, the awareness of the manipulation that the viewers have of those shows, as well as their use of music are things we need to note.

When is the destruction of this show gonna stop? If thats the case & i for one think thats true (no live feed, they can pretty much do what the ****** they want, right?) we'll know from the highlights show. it stinks.

No matter what anyone says, I still find even the idea of the housemates actually getting a script to learn absolutely ridiculous and I do not believe any direct manipulation will go on in the house, diary room, wherever. I do not doubt that perhaps Big Brother will give them certain tasks which will likely create drama and cause problems within the house but I believe that will be as far as it goes, and honestly I don't mind that so long as nothing any bigger than that will go on.

i think the idea of housemates getting scripts is bullcrap but producers have the sway of wich dierection to take the show, and they can create storys thats the buety about big brother producers can manipulate any situation they want in the house and obv no LF so they cant get caught out and thats why we dont have it.

I guess a lot's riding on what the highlights show is gonna be like tmrw. If its total crap, a s i fear it's gonna be, then game over. reserving judgement til then, a scripted show will stand out a mile tho i reckon.

At the end of the day, if that's the direction that the producers want to take it then sadly we will have to either accept it or move on from the show. If they want a romance, they will most likely get a romance. I could see that straight away from the launch night tonight - Amy Childs saying, "I wouldn't mind a house romance!" and then straight after sending in two goodlooking men who also share the same opinion.
It's rubbish, it is, but since it was announced that Channel 5 were buying it I knew something like this would go on. Dirty Desmond just wants the ratings and the money. He knows that there's a growing number of TOWIE-style shows and they're increasingly getting more and more popular as the days go on. It was a bad move for him to get his fix of this under the 'Big Brother' name though because everyone already knows that show is nothing like those mentioned. He could have easily bought the rights to The Golden Cage and then made it as scripted as possible, but no, he knows there's still a fanbase out there for Big Brother so he knows he'll get relatively good ratings anyway, regardless of how much he messes up the show.
Honestly? I still think i'm going to enjoy this series. We'll still be watching people in a house, we'll still have the evictions, we'll still have the tasks, we'll still have the twists - and while I might always know in the back of my mind that something suspicious might be going on I probably won't worry too much about it and carry on watching the show. There's bigger things in life for me to worry about. As much as I have loved the past 10 years of Big Brother, if it's going to change now then it's going to change and i'll just have to accept ot.

I can't begin to describe how furious I am with this kind of crap. Everything I loved about BB is pretty much lost and I wish now Channel 5 hadn't picked it up at all.
They don't need to note crap from towie because otherwise we would just watch towie. We want reality but thats almost impossible in the day and age isn't it. :bored:
