Guys, im not saying anythings concrete and im certainly not making this up out of think air... but..

One of one of my sources close to endemol, not channel 5, said this

"One of the big celebs ordered that they did not want to be filmed around the clock as it is an invasion of privacy, another celebrity did state this aswell. It was a case of either these celebs not being in the house, and having a live feed, or get them in and put live feed on hold."

he then said..

"Channel 5 have always had the plan for live feed, it was the first things to be made certain, hense the tabloid reports it was to be re-instated, however before the show the announcement that it was supposedly scrapped one of the celebs said they would be definitely on board, if there WERENT filmed 24/7 so they've ONLY put it on hold, there focusing on the social apps as a trial for the Celeb BB, but i can say that there were plans ALL ALONG to have Live Feed, its looking likely we may have it for the normal series."

EDIT: also he did say BB12 and CBB8 are to different things. Celeb housemates are aloud luxury's, iPods, Mp3's etc... however when BB12 comes back on it is back to basics, literally. they will have to earn hot water, electricity such and such, aslo privileges, so for a task one day, they might have to win a token, which they could use for the sauna..

No, as i put in my thread post, the social apps and BBUKLive is an experiment. they thought it could be better than Live Feed, they felt the demand wasnt good enough...

the ****ty call in gameshows they have = MORE MONEY than BB live feed

Not sure that I believe this. The calibre of Celebs in there aren't big enough to make those kind of demands IMO.
Even if they did make those demands - I'm sure they could have been replaced relatively easily with Celebs of a similar status who would be prepared to adhere to the BB concept.

Sorry if my post came across that way. I'm not doubting you or suggesting you made it up. I just have a different opinion on the information you have been passed than you do.
That's what makes the rumour mill interesting - we all have some we believe/hope to be true and others that we that we don't - either way it's fun debating them all.

I am so fed up with these I know something for sure type threads with no back up whatsoever to any of them being true :( The sort of things posted are stuff if true C5 should have no trouble explaining without too much backlash if it were true, so my feelings are that C5 would have announced this themselves if true, especially after all the commotion of no live feed.

I think I am going to start giving this type threads a wide berth from now.

The only problem with this theory is that non of the "celebs" in the house are big enough or interesting enough for them to go to the lengths of holding live feed for them. Plus, invasion of privacy is basically what BB is.

Oh yeah im in agreement with that! he said that one of them was being to 'diva like' but they felt that they would be entertaining on the show so they had to get them on!

oh yeah it totally is! hense Big Brother, but C5 have been so 'starstruck' if you will with the whole, we have BB, they dont know what to do with it, they came up with so many ideas, i knew they would do something like 'win a trip to the house to watch a movie' Channel 5 are being Dizzy Bints and doing to much, they thought the complexity of the BBUKLive would be enough, but the backlash is huge, they need to calm down... they wanted all these mixed characters in, instead of growing balls and saying 'right dont like it, **** off' they bent over backwards for this line up and everything backfired!

In my opinion, he's making this up.

But if it is true, Jedward, Any and Kerry are the only people C5 would listen to about this, as they are probably the biggest names (for the target audience anyway) and I think Jedward would be the ones with the most to gain from not being shown 24 hours a day.

A side note, it's funny how this has only come into play after about 8 series isn't it?

Also, let's say this is true and the celebs don't want their "bad-sides" being broadcast, would this mean their manager has to check what goes out? I mean, just because it isn't shown live doesn't necessarily mean it can't be shown in the highlights show.

So I don't really buy it, I think it's just Channel 5 being cheap.

They wont. It will be like this for BB12 as well. All we can hope for is live feed to give us another option.

It would at least be something, we have no conversations between housemates, only 'scenes' which last more then 45 seconds. The editing is catering to attention deficient teenagers who really don't have the money to spend that the channel needs. Die hards and gamblers are the ones who pump in the money to the channel.
What happens if there is a big bust up in the house will we see only clips of it? Will we get the full picture? How much can you take out before the show is no longer BB?
Even last season with the live feeds in evening in afternoon when the most amount of activity happened was something.
I am hoping that hings improve or I will probably just stop watching and wait ill the main show comes and see if there are improvements then.

BB needs live feed, it doesn't have to be 24/7, why can't C5 see some live feed is needed? The only thing that might give us an idea of what's going on is the first eviction interview/s maybe?
