Too much messing around and not enough of what is going on in the house. Trying to be too clever won't work with CBB

I'm indifferent to it, but it will probably grow on me.

When I first watched The Only Way Is Essex I didn't at all like how it was set up but then I became addicted.

The only thing I really don't like is Marcus over-narrating and not being serious enough, same with the people in the diary room. The funny moments in past series came when Big Brother or Marcus, who were known for being serious, would say something cheeky and it made things all the more hilarious. Now its like they're trying to hard.

I don't mind the music, flashbacks, etc. because pretty much every reality show i've seen is like that so it doesn't bother me one bit.

I watched 10 seconds of a camera staring at an empty bed there and I genuinely found the hiss of silent microphones far more interesting than CBB this year, that is how much I hate it.

50/50. It is different, fresh and adds a new touch to the show, but at the same time I generally prefer the old editing. The simplicity was just genius and is what made me fall in love with the show. I don't like these flashbacks, and OTT "Coming Up..."/"Previously on Big Brother..." generic reality show style snippets.

I'll repeat what I said on the other thread:

The problem is that they have tried to mimmick the way American reality shows are edited. It doesn't work for our Big Brother!

I loved Big Brother UK because it allowed scences to just play out with little interferrance from production.

The difference between this and the C4 version is the difference between Kichen Nightmares UK and USA. One is a camera crew following Gordon as he tries to help a buisness. The other is full of "reinactments" and generall scripting.

I guess we should have expected this. C4 have a style (Come Dine with me, the Ramsey UK shows) And Five have a more "sleak" style. It's just not one I like. I think the people who do like it are those who like other American reality shows. Big Brother UK felt unique to those, now thats gone. No longer is it a trend setter, now its one of the herd.

It just seems vapid, everything is spelt out obviously to the audience, and too much opinion is involved in the highlights now, instead of it being impartial.

Then again, what did we expect from the channel that is owned by a media mogul.

Stick with it german is very similar to english after surprisingly short time you will be able to work it out. I am hopeless at languages but after living for a few weeks with a bunch of east germans who spoke no english we were having full blown conversations and wierdly understanding each other.

"Big Brother has to move with the times" No it doesn't, a lot of people loved bb because of how raw it was. You don't have to do something just because you can. How adding music & nametags to a reality show is evolution is beyond me.

There's nothing wrong with the name tags they've been done on loads of Reality Shows in the past - people just can't get over them here.

They're fine and will most likely go away after the first few days.

I voted 50/50 but am erring on the side of hate it. The whole thing seems a bit disjointed at the moment. I'd hoped they'd keep the good things and improve on the rest.
