How about an Extended Highlights Show?

If Channel 5 aren't going to bring Live Feed back, which I wish they would.

Couldn't they just have a sort of extended live highlights show.

It would basically be the HL show but with more stuff in it.

Even if it was only online or was on in the middle of the night?

It would mean they wouldn't have to stump up for a live feed but the fans would still get to see more or the housemates.

Whats everyone's thoughts on this?

But you're not even getting an hour! You're getting around 42 minutes if you take into account the ads and editing/music, etc

I think 1 hr 30 mins (without breaks, so it would work out as around 2hrs long would be good) and there would be no need for the "fancy" effects as it would only be the hardcore fans watching really.

Yeah, this. I actually like Bit on the Side but I'd sacrifice 30 minutes of that for extended highlights.

I think they could do 2 shows, one in the afternoon and one in the evening,repeated throughout the week as well, that would help a lot and give more footage.

You would get people saying a 2 hour show would be too long but then they also would likely want live feed to watch for hours on end.

It's hard to please everyone,I think Channel 5 have done really well but more footage is needed daily,they need to capitalise more on the housemates they have.

Yeah, even if it isn't live, they need something.

I think an extended show could be good.

Or even just a second highlights show, showing the stuff that wasnt in the main show. Have it an hour long (probably 1.15 with ads), no crappy effects (making it easier to produce) and put it online only and maybe repeat the next day.

It would keep the casual viewers happy as well as giving the hardcore viewer something more, albeit not LF.

Yeah but you would still have the standard HL show to watch, and then could watch the extended one online later if you wished.

Nothing would be taken away from the main show.

BOTS is horrible - this is the first series EVER that when watching a HL show I'm not tired by the end or I'm not waiting for it to be over so I can flick back to Live Feed as there is none, or go on TiBB and talk about it, because you're all negative bastards nowadays and put me to sleep anyway.

So I mean I would love to just watch more, the breaks - and there's ALOT of breaks, they come more frequently in this series - cut the show down to like 40 Minutes. :bored:


I'd like an hour and a half show - or even have a new show on 5* or via Red Button that we can press at the end of the credits of the HL show.

You could call it 'Big Brother's Little Bit More' and that could be like an extra 40 minutes of Highlights.

people watch 4 or 5 hours live feed so why would they not watch 3 hours HLs?

I would definitely feel happier about not having lf if we got an extended hl show. an hour goes so quickly, and for some of that time, they're repeating what we've seen the night before.
