Don't actually hate it as much as I thought I would. Some good bits tonight where I actually lol'd. I think I can probably get over the editing cos it's not on that long. When it first started I was like D: but then the music thingy stopped and it looked normal so was all good :joker:

Yeah, I still prefer when it was straight forward but getting used to this now.

Yeah, they've dumbed the editing down now and I'm really starting to like it.

Yes, loving it. I'm really keen this year, heck I've even voted to save Sally, I'd be so excited with Live-Feed but it's shaping up to be a great series.

I haven't had a problem with it, it's been very entertaining and a joy to watch and I feel C5 have done everything they could do to make it a fun and enjoyable serious.

Today was better than the others but I wouldn't say warmed to it yet.

If don't feel as if I can connect with it or the housemates though. It's like you start too then the montages/music push you away again.

Never had a problem with the editing, it's just Marcus who annoys me and the show itself seems boring this year, not much is happening, I hope it improves.

it depends on how much Jedward are featured
when they feature heavily its dull, when they are background characters and we get to see people having conversations I become interested again

I liked it from the start so dont really need to warm to it. I like what C5 have done with it.

I like the editing but the names aren't really needed for anyone but Jedward and the first few days of the regular series ( I don't mind showing the names but it's a little unnesseary)

If they ditch the music at the start of the show and let us actually watch them wake up, and stop masking and ruining tasks and parties with music, then I'll be happy. It'd be nice if Marcus and BB also returned to their usual selves but I can deal with that. Also ditch the name tags, first night it's a good idea...after that, no.
I agree with Stu though, I really wish we had live feed. Then the editing wouldn't matter.

I am yes. It seems they started with something...it didn't take so slowly it's started to phase out.
Completly agree about the tasks though. If you are going to do it, at least show us more of the tasks and use good music like c4 did last year.
Marcus.

Yeah, I don't mind it at all, I think everyone is overreacting just a little. The music can get a bit annoying sometimes but it doesn't bother me as a whole. I'd love live feed but I understand we're not getting it so I can't complain about it all day every day, but yeah - i'm happy with it.

Me too Stu, but after watching lastnight show, im really getting into it now, i just wish they would scrap the music during the HL's, its really off putting.
I enjoyed last night's highlights show much more but can't say I've warmed to it yet. Just haven't seen enough of them to get hooked yet.

Just because you do not understand something doesn't make it invalid. All different types of people used to watch BB for different reasons so its not surprising that not everyone who liked the old series' likes this one.

Yes, but you have some people who are all like
OMGZ they are putting nametags on the screen. THIS IS RUINING THE SHOW TOTALLY!!!!!
As if the nametags make that much of a difference
Yeah, they can be irritating, but making out as if they are a really massive problem is just daft.

I love the new editing, apart from Marcus - he can go away.

I guess that can be annoying in some peoples opinion but to be honest it can affect people more than others. Like for me the name tags take away from the illusion of reality for me and are sort of damaging the reasons why I fell in love with BB to begin with. And obviously its not just them but its them paired with the effects, music, ect. But the thing is when people say they are overreacting its a matter of opinion to wether they think its an overreaction or not so I don't see how it can be judged as different people watch/ed BB for different reasons.
For example I watched it as a way to escape but I feel I cant escape with this series as it used to feel like watching a house but this series it feels more like a tv show. So the name tags may feel as a big deal to me because it doesn't allow me to escape as I used to but for someone else who didn't watch it for those reasons won't see it as a big deal.

You can explain it away as much as you like, but the fact remains, people who say the nametags totally ruin the whole show, are exaggerating
(The editing, I can get away with, because it does kinda stop it being a reality tv show. I am talking mostly about the people who moan about every little thing)

It is still a matter of opinion to where the level of 'acceptable' reactions lie though.
And I honestly don't think anyone I have seen moans for the sake of moaning, jut the fact they love the show and are genuinely disappointed with the quality of the series and the little things just add to that.

Have a look round for people who make nothing but negative comments, in pretty much every thread, about every tiny little detail. Theres quite a few ;)

Well I don't think that means they are necessarily moaning for the sake of moaning. I know I haven't made many positive comments about this series but that is genuinely because I can't find many positives about it for me. I certainly don't moan for the sake of it though.

It kinda does. Because if it was really as bad as they were making out it is, they would turn off. Normal people would anyways, the rest who wont switch something off that they hate, clearly just like to moan.
Kinda reminds me of the ofcom brigade that I hated so much...the ones who would watch just to find something to report, and report every little detail :D

It's fine I guess, I watch it when i'm not doing anything and I enjoy it. It's better then I thought it would be.
Some people just like to complain, I don't see the point of continuing to watch something you hate.

I could understand that being the case if we were 3/4 weeks in, but even if someone hates the series so far giving up after 4 days seems a bit rash to me, especially if they have watched from the start and loved the show for 10 years. Though if someone complains through out the whole run of the CBB and BB12 I think then the accusation would be justified.
Vicky.

Yeah, but the thing is though, its little things that people are moaning about. Things like the editing, marcus bentley, the music etc etc.
These things arent going to change throughout the series. And are probably even going to be the same in normal BB too. Its c5s style.
If it was the housemates they were complaining about, I could take your point.

But to some people they aren't little things and they have their right to opinion like everyone else. And well the editing has been getting better since the first two highlights show so there is actually a possibility that it could change, and the normal BB could be completely different so I still think its unjustly accusatory.

You can think what you like but I just find it unfair that negativity is seen as less valid than positivity when actually the people who are pointing out faults are justifying their opinion far more than the majority of people who just state their positive opinion and do not explain it at all.

This doesnt happen though. Only with people who moan about EVERYTHING.
