If you could go back in time and be producer and make the season, would you rather...

Full noobies, I would have liked an all-stars season for BB14 but with more houseguests from the earlier seasons.

Full all-stars. You could def fill a house with all-stars from BB8-12.
My ideal lineup would be Dick, Daniele, Jen, Eric (but not as AP) from BB8, James and Sheila from BB9, Michelle, Keesha and Dan from BB10, Russell and Michele from BB11, and Rachel, Brendon and Matt from BB12. That would have been an awesome and balanced 14-person cast.

You wouldn't have Jordan or Jeff back for All-stars??

Nope. Let's be real, the only true gameplayers from that season were Jessie, Natalie, Ronnie (as much as I hated the three of them it's true) along with Russell and Michele. Jeff and Jordan made horrible moves when they had power and the only reason they even made it to jury was the fix that was the Coup d'Etat. Jordan's HOH week evicting Lydia was a total waste and Jeff made the biggest blunder of the game when he got rid of Russell too soon and kept Kevin and Natalie in the house. Obviously I liked them as people more than the rest of that hateable cast, but they wouldn't deserve to be in an All Stars house based solely on their gameplay.
(And I will fend off the inevitable "Jordan won" argument by saying yes, she made a good decision bringing Natalie to F2 instead of Kevin, but if the votes were cast strictly based on gameplay rather than on personal feelings, Natalie would have run away with it.)

I understand all of your points, and agree for the most part.
But still, you know CBS isn't choosing All-Stars based on who "played the best game" :P they are obviously going to pick the epople that would make the best show, not the people that played the best game. The Brigade played a great game, but they were boring as kitty litter. I doubt CBS is gonna be calling those guys for the next All-Stars lol.

I would love to see Brittany or Jordan back from season 1. It would be good to see how they'd cope because BBUS never revolved around gameplay until season 2 so they would probably feel like newbies, seeing as they'd never had to play the game strategically.

Yes, but the reason that won't happen is that CBS essentially divorced itself from everything that had to do with the original series except for Chicken George. As far as they're concerned BB1USA isn't part of the American BB series.

You're correct, but the dream All-Stars 2 cast I proposed was what I wanted to happen, not what I expected to happen. Key difference there.

I think CBS is right to disown the first series. It was a disaster. Does anyone here actually like BB1? If CBS/Endemol had been stubborn and continued on to a second series of Big Brother with the original rules, do you think Big Brother would still be on our screens? i don't. I think CBS and Endemol were really smart to cut it loose, and start over with something completely different. They were obviously copying survivor because the first season of SUrvivor totally OWNED America that year, and Big Brother was just left in the shadows,. CBS was really smart to adjust it the way they did, and they kept live feed, so they still kept the spirit of Big Brother in it.
BBUS1 was like BBUK4
I think the way they adapted BB USA for the American Audience was brilliant, and that's why it's still successful today, while the dutch version, the german version, the french version, the australian versions have all been cancelled.
BBUSA is the longest running uninterrupted BB in the world.

I know that they like to distance themselves from the first series, I read somewhere that the houseguests for season 2 were told specifically not to speak about season 1. But Brittany and Jordan were actually asked to do the All-Stars season, both declined so they had to go with Chicken George, so I don't think they want to distance themselves completely.

I heard it was Brittany and Eddie who were asked.

they had chicken george back for a few comps too, if i remember correctly. They brought him back for the BB10 news comp i believe, so CBS is definitely not totally tryna blank s1, but i think Chicken George is the only one they will keep from s1.
i actually fwelt bad for chicken george on BB7 because he was clearly so out of his league. I don't think anyone from S1 could handle playing Bb now. It's a ruthless game, and they all seemed so nice.
I'm a huge BBUSA fan, and i can't even get through watching all of season 1. I've tried.
Well considering the newbies haven't made much of an impact I think an All Stars series would have been better

Probably asked him too, Chicken George was their last choice because everybody else declined. It's a shame Brittany declined especially, I think she could have won BB1 or at least made it to the final had it not been for Chicken George's family and friends organising a huge vote to save him in the week they were both up for banishment.
In regards to houseguests from BB1 playing BB as it is now, I tend to agree that nearly all of them would struggle and they wouldn't make it far. Maybe Will "Mega" or Jordan could have done quite well but I think the others wouldn't stand a chance.

i'm thinking the same thing. I'm thinking from now on we won't have a full;-on all-stars series, at least for another 3-4 years.
this season basically kills any hope that we had for a full on all-stars.
I think BB obviously consults with Survivor for their ideas Survivor fans vs favs was like season 16 right? and then we didn't have a real all stars on survivor til season 20, with heroes vs. villains. The Noobies this season were completely worthless, and just eviction fodder.
Heroes vs. Villains would be awesome on BB though.
Omg, even better though, would be a BB all-stars vs. Survivor all-stars in the BB house. How AMAZIng would that be???
I do feel gypped this season, they could have done so many amazing things with this season if they'd used the whole CBS reality stars family. Have all the best from Survivor and Amazing race and BB all in one house.
Now THAT would truly be an ULTIMATE BIG BROTHER house.

Brittany was definitely going to make it to the finals but then George's family ****ed that all up -_-
I think Eddie would've been able to adapt well to BBUS because he was strictly business in the House and made that known. He knew what he was there to do and just went in like a mission. But yeah, most of that cast would suck. Josh gets too emotional, Curtis is smart but not too good socially, Jamie's an idiot, Cassandra would have a good social game but she would never want to play the strategic element of the game. That cast was just a mess.
