He's an Irish Traveller. A Gypsy is a Romany Gypsy. Very different and in general despise each other.

Romany Gypsy's are Gypsy's in the traditional sense. Horse, cart, travel for weeks on end. Irish travellers are very different

Incidentally his nose was damaged bare knuckle fights , I really like him but I wonder if this show will damage his reputation , prancing about in daft costumes won't go down well with his community , I wouldn't imagine.
