E4 launches autumn season (air date as well)

E4 has unveiled a bumper slate of programming for the autumn as the digital channel works to fill the gap left by Friends.

A range of comedy, entertainment and drama series will plug part of the gap left by the long-running US sitcom when the channel’s licence expires on 30 September, leaving 1,043 hours to fill annually.

The new season of programming will feature new talent for the channel in the form of comedy duo Cardinal Burns and internet sensations, The Midnight Beast.

Acquisitions, such as 2 Broke Girls, Charlie’s Angels and Zooey Deschanel’s New Girl, will also feature. Made in Chelsea will be returning on 19 September to the Monday night slot at 10pm with Hollyoaks Later and Misfits also returning imminently.

all show are brand new and up to date Charlie's Angels? was remade in the usa iam looking forward to it to lot of good show coming to E4 :dance:

But what will specifically fill the 5-6pm gap left by Friends. They'll no doubt end up lazy and just replace it with endless reruns of How I Met Your Mother or Scrubs.

Actually, E4 are showing How I Met Your Mother in order from the beginning - which is really good for the people who missed it when the BBC dropped it and E4 only started showing it from season 5. It's not lazy.

I meant get lazy and stick it on a constant loop for the next 10 years like they did with Friends. Showing it isn't a problem, I just hope it isn't repeated to death.

Although that may not happen, the reason I think they showed Friends so much was because of the huge cost it was to own the rights.
