Turns out Friends was filmed on 35mm film, so they can be fully upgraded to proper HD...which is gonna be quite a jump, check out the S1 opening titles below

The jump is huge but I thin it takes away some of the charm.

The very early episodes were notoriously bad, so to see them in HD will be amazing lol

Can't wait to see it all in HD, mainly the early ones. Just to see what it looks like.

But actually, it takes away something from the show. I liked how old it looked sometimes. seeing them so young in HD will be weird.

Yeah the fuzzy quality added a little something to the show, for it to go HD might make it feel a little clinical

I would enjoy it in HD tbh, just not as much.

It was filmed on film, rather than video tape, with things filmed on film, they were downscaled for TV in the first place. Video tape is VERY hard to convert to HD, simply because it's hard to make something that has always been low quality, high quality
