Paddys got arms like tree trunks though they probably weigh as much as jedward whereas jedward have stickmen arms.
If they had given them any weight to hold paddy would have won.

It is actually hard to stand motionless with your arms stretched out like that holding anything in reality.

To be fair, someone on here said that Paddy had a stroke a while back, maybe just a mild one but it will have affected his ability to do that kind of exercise.

It was a test of endurance not strength. Plus he is a 50 something year old man who has been shot in the head and recently suffered a stroke, not exactly on top form.
Saying that, I am also surprised he didn't do a little bit better
