View Full Version : Who Actually Votes as far as members here are concerned.

Which members on here actually DO vote, every year, week in week out.
I don't. I think in all the years BB and CBB has been running - I've voted about half a dozen times in all, in about 2 shows, mostly as I was doing it for a laugh.

I've never voted, never will, I'll never be that concerned about the result of an eviction/final that I feel I have to spend money to vote. I'm happy just to watch it :)

I do Pyramid. I have ever since 2006, I am a mad fan of BB. Sometimes, like in the Bobby and Sally eviction,I wasn't bothered who went so didn't vote much, just a few votes for Sally.
Overall though, I enjoy feeling part of it,for instance, although I voted for both Tara and Bobby for Fridays eviction, I was really pleased to feel maybe my votes had helped Bobby survive although I was hoping Lucien or Darryn would go rather than Tara.
At the moment though it is Jedward getting my votes and I have a busy week on that one up to thursday until voting closes.
Once I get involved in something I really go at it,especially on this where I get the chance to really support someone I like such as the Twins.
Last year for Ben for instance,my phone was boiling hot from near constant use.I failed sadly there though.
Crazy to some but I love BB and want to support it and the people in it I come to like as much as I can.

I wouldn't say it's crazy - not at all...it's a very important part of the show - people voting and 'diehard' fans most certainly shouldn't feel they are nuts for doing so!
to quote Shree: Personally, me... I wouldn't give the media companies the money - that's all !!! Miserable Scot through and through... tee hee!!!
It could be said that people like me who don't vote: shouldn't comment if their fav doesn't get further - which is true of course!!! I fall into the same category though as MusicMan above.

Not at all, whether you vote or not, voting is an option, the show is on the TV if you are watching it or following it in other ways then all your points are as valid as anyone else who watches it and follows it.
A lot of my cousins are the same as me and vote for their favourites loads too, this year we are near all on the same choice for a change.:joker:

I've voted in the past, but due to the lack of live feed and the way it's being edited, I don't feel as if I really know what's going on. So I won't be voting this series.

I have never and would never. If I had been England when BB7/UBB was on I would have voted for Nikki though. That would be my only exception. I will never in the future though, It's just a waste of money.

I meant in respect of 'Well if you don't vote for your favourite: don't moan that they didn't win". :)
for entertainment value: what I find really interesting - and hilarious - is the fact that you can have very close friends who are so very close at any other time: who can almost loathe each other throughout the show, if they have 2 polar opposite favourites (ie: think Ben vs Mario scenario for a more recent example). Hells bloody bells .... the effect is brilliant on that score though!!
I did do two votes each for Tara and Bobby last eviction. Fat lot of good that did :joker: But hey, what's four votes really, not much to my purse. Maybe I jinx those I vote for :joker:
I won't be voting any more, but for those who do it's your money and so why not spend it on votes if you wish to :) You never know, forgetting the cynic I have become where all things BB are involved I could well be wrong on that, and your votes do indeed count :) So good luck with voting your favourites :)

I only voted for Pete in BB7 because my Mum forced me to.
I voted for Darnell about 12 times in the finale of BB9.
I voted to evict Noirin about 30 odd times in BB10 to save Marcus.
And I'll probably vote for Bobby and Jedward in the final of CBB8.

I was going to a concert like 2 days after the finale IIRC - so as soon as the opening titles came on she was like;
'PATRICK! QUICK VOTE FOR PETE! COME ON!'
And kind of pushed me out into the hall to the phone.
And I was like 'Mum he's going to win anyway :bored:' but she was like 'If you don't vote you're not ******ing going to that concert, and I'll make sure of it!'
But I snuck a cheeky vote in for Jennie  not that it did any good. :joker::joker:
I voted for Darryn last week although normally I dont, not because it's a waste of money or anything (I'm not paying the phone bill ) I just never really get round to it or seem able to bother

I suppose many will wait to see who gets to the final before parting with the pennies, and that the final then sees a surge in votes and favourites changing in the betting even.

I've never quite understood (or bothered to enquire to be honest),why that is the case- that you aren't allowed to vote.
Seems pretty crap to me that they are happy to allow people to view but not vote? What is the reason behind it?
Well if it was up to me I'd let you all vote :) When I went to Ireland for a couple of weeks, I found them amongst the loveliest, friendliest people yet when I have ventured anywhere for a holiday. Mind you there were so many sheep there all walking about, all over the roads also :o :D

I used to vote a fair few times each week. I liked feeling 'involved' somehow, even though I knew my votes didnt make much of a difference. Then they put Nikki back in after she had been evicted, and made her eligible to win. Since then I can count the number of times I have voted in an eviction on one hand, as it became quite clear that if things didnt go their way, they would just be total dicks about it and ignore what the public wanted. Im still susprised nothing came of that because IMO they scammed money off people.
I usually throw a vote to someone in the final though just for the sake of it :)

I liked Nikki but found it amusing how some people still hold that against her when it was the producers decision overall to do it, even though she had been voted out. They did cop a lot of criticism for it but some people still thought it was Nikki's fault too:conf:.

I didn't like Nikki much in BB7, I was a big Pete fan. But a little while after that BB, I did a complete turnaround on both of them. I think although I ignored it at the time, I wasn't too happy with Pete's disregard for Nikki once they were out the house. I like Nikki now, and can't stand Pete.

Jon is one of my favourite BB housemates ever, along with Ben and Dan. I don't think they should ever let housemates back into the BB house though, not even now, when they let them in for tasks.

Strangely enough: I liked Pete and not Nikki in the house: and like you: after they left: I found my preferences completely switch around. In fact, I liked Nikki even more when it was very obvious that she knew she was a wee buggar and just laughed at herself. That actually endeared me to her. (as well as years later, seeing her in the flesh and seeing how tiny - in all ways, she really is).
