View Full Version : Madonna... what an ungrateful cow.

It was meant to be a touching gesture from an adoring fan.

But after one eager audience member presented Madonna with a hydrangeas, the material girl was left less than impressed.

And the singer and actress was caught voicing her disgust at the gift because the press conference microphone was left on.

While she smiled and said thank you to the fan she quickly put the flower under the table before shooting a glaring look at her friend.

Madonna,53, then proceeded to turn to the person sitting to her right and remarked: ‘I absolutely loathe hydrangeas.’

She added: ‘He obviously doesn’t know that.’

Now... coming from a Madonna fan..... I'm disgusted at this.

Seems she forgets that if it wasn't for adoring fans...... she wouldn't be where she is.

Sometimes it's gracious to keep your mouth shut Madonna.

I do think so too.... but to say it having been given them by a fan - when she gives a pathetic withering look to the person on her left, before then saying what she did.... she seems to forget if it wasn't for fans - she'd be skanking it up in some hovel in NY.

Totally agree......... at least have the dignity to keep your mouth shut and your private thoughts that will offend your fan to yourself and long enough until you are out of the way.

I am losing any respect I ever had for her: between the constant need to have 20 year old guys on her arm, from the mess she is making of her face (got to laugh: happy to inject all sorts of crap into her, fillers, botox etc - but stricty follows macrobiotic diets etc.)

she is turning into a complete walking contradiction of terms.

as I said in my very early post: not only did she come away with the ungrateful comment... but before she did, she looks to her right ... spot the look, the eye contact she's making with that person, the raising of her eyebrows, the mouth action.... then she proceeds to turn to her left to make the comment. *or vice versa as far as left/right is concerned*

she didn't give a damn...clearly. she wanted people on both sides of her to know how much she did not appreciate the gesture. Cow.

Madonna's always been the same, she's never changed thank goodness. She has always been honest. What comes with honesty is not always liking what she says. Tough. It was said in a prvate conversation anyway.

Precisely...they are not private.

She ws not away from the mic otherwise it would not have been heard.

She was not away from the cameras otherwise it would not have been captured.

She should have kept her mouth shut until she was in private. It's that little known thing called 'respect' (seems she's all into respecting herself and to hell with obliging others with a little of the same)

Respectfully Livia, rather than complaining about the set up of the forum on this thread.... perhaps that something you should take up with the mods/admin? It was a news story, taken from a newspaper and therefore, was placed in an appropriate secton.

I don't make the forum sections or sub-sections up. If you don't like the content of the thread in comparion to what else is going on in the world, there's no need to post in it or mock it.

Nice of her to be polite to the person's face and say thank you but then again she's always been a high and mighty bitch.

Hello...

Well if she thanked the person like anybody else would do and that what mattered. I would do the same.

You can all blame Mr Guy Richie for her ''British Accent'' adapted during her marrage to him.

Got to seriously disagree here, she purposely puts the accent on. She sounds as if she's trying to be posh but it sounds more Dick Van Dyke than Queen Elizabeth.

She obviously likes the accent and likes to pretend she has it, when she doesn't.

It's the same with everything, dresses all saintly and librarian like to be a serious children's author, then she's pulling out the whips to dominate Justin Timberlake, then she's flapping about in a leotard to show the world her camel toe, over exercising before claiming to be a very religious or whatever.

She has an identity problem. It's not cool if you're constantly trying to be something you're not.

Well obviosuly she doesn't talk like that all the time, other videos would dectate that. But the influence of Guy Richie started her ''British Accent''.

Madonna is a a buisness woman don't forget and she should be entitled to do exatly what she wants. That is why she decided to produce her upcoming film instead of standard music. Film has always been a part which she has wanted to be a success in. She has talken up many other prodjects over the last few years such as starting a fasion line with daughter Lourdes as a mother-daughter interest. Obviously she is interested in charity work; she founded Saving Malawi and has adopted 2 children.

And Madonna's identity has always been a iconic part of her, look at her many era's in her discography. Or Desperately Seeking Susan for that matter...

Fair enough about her identity and diverse projects but the fact she doesn't speak like that all the time shows how awful it is. Doing the accent on purpose when she can't even do it properly. It's like she's constantly giving a bad acting performance.

And I won't go into what I think of the whole adoption fiasco.

she doesn't have to do it properly because she's not attempting to do an exact copy of an English accent. She just has an English twist to it from living here for years. Its a hybrid accent. Just like Kylie has.

and why the hell do you care? You seem obsessed with how she speaks as if it even matters.

Ill shut up now because a certain mod is waiting to pounce again. :(

All I would have to say that you don't know what the real Madonna is like and if Madonna choses to have a British accent for show then she can. (Her Like A ''Wirgin'' German accent is far worse). The film is a British based film so she might of put it on for that reason...? Some might pick sticks (I would) at your last comment but we won't go there...

It's not a hybrid, it's not her natural "twist". It's a voice she is consciously putting on in an attempt to be British and it aint working.

Like when claimed to love the British countryside, put the accent on with some riding gear and tweed jackets and thought she was Lady of the Manor.

And don't even bother calling yourself a fan again because you're not fit to be one.

I don't have the same level of complete and utter blinded adoration for a megastar, but that doesn't stop me being a fan of her music.

2) Of course she can, I was just stating how much I detested not just the accent but her arrogant attitude on the subject when Zippy had some comments to make which I responded to.

By the same premise, you appear to be displaying a level of obsession in respect of being remiss to anyone who simply doesn't share your own level of adoration for her - and dismissing anything anyone else has to say about Madonna if it is not in glowing terms. People can be fans but also able to make comment on when they think that 'star' was out of order.

She has had surgery, both invasive and non evasive. I don't find it is improving her looks, and in 2 of the recent photos - she is displaying the very same 'look' as many woman who have overstepped the cosmetic procedures take on - and yes, there are sign of that look being the early stages of the Wildenstein started off looking like

I don't have to rebuke any possible criticism of Madonna to be a fan - whether of her or her music.

I was and have been a massive fan since she first hit the scene - struggling with her leggings and bits of lace wrapped round her head - I loved her edgyness, the boundaries she pushed.

Since she's moved away from Guy Ritchie, she appears to have become so different to the star that I used to admire.

I believe that is allowed either way - as we are discussing the celebrity.

What is not thinly veined, are the personal insults toward members of this forum who are not overflowing with adoration for Madonna, and it has only evolved in the manner it has: due to some turning it into a personal slagging match by insulting forum members, rather than actually sticking to the subject in hand: Madonna.

Correct, and it has evolved in discussing other less positive aspects as people have put their own input in.

If it is bitchy, then it is towards the celebrity and there is no rule breaks on that front.

if people do not want to read what the don't like seeing - they don't have to keep returning to the thread. Surely that's a fair basic concept? Any bitchy comments if you want to put it like that, are being directed at Madonna - so I'm not sure why some seem to be taking it so personally.
