John seems to be ok without Ed but Ed can't cope without John from what I've seen

Yeah, seems that way, poor Edward

Probably about right. They like to be thought of as exactly the same but their personalities are significantly different, from what we've seen when they were kept apart in the house.
Even the HMs said it was easy to tell them apart, after as little as a day or two.

John is the straight one, and seems more forward and in control.
Edward is the gay one who seems to be insecure when John isn't with him

It is certainly possible there is a difference in sexuality, but I suspect they are both gay.
But that won't come out (!) for a few years. They have seen what happened to Joe McElderry after he came out, i.e. career down the plughole although he is a good singer.

I don't think that had anything to do with him being gay

He was forced into it. That was the problem. He had denied being gay and then had to come out. Had he been upfront from the start, it may have been a different matter.
I think it lost him quite a bit of teeny support (probably gained a few middle-aged male fans, though! ;))
Jedward are careful to appear fairly asexual... that keeps their options open.

He's been high in the top 10 album chart for past 3 weeks. He won Popstar opera(whatever) recently with the highest votes every single week.
But yeah, besides that he's down the plughole.
Now go check Jedwards latest chart position...and weep. Good luck finding it somewhere outside the top 100...

We all know it only takes a couple of sales to make the album charts - these days. Everyone downloads (free) MP3s once stuff gets onto the P2P sites. ;) It's meaningless.
Popstar to Opera Star is not the sort of thing Joe would be wasting his time with if his career was going really well. It smacks of desperation.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of Joe's and was delighted he won XF, but his 'coming out' timing was unfortunate. He should have done it upfront when he knew he was going to be in the public eye.
I do feel Jedward are casting a veil over their sexuality. I know they don't shave as yet but they will be 20 in a few weeks and it's difficult to imagine they are totally asexual. This could come back and bite them on the bum one day! ;)

Oh where to start..
It obviously doesnt take a couple of sales as your obsession Jedward have very conclusively proven. Joe's at no5 theyre at...God knows where I got bored scrolling past the top100 mark. Both released same time.
As for your comment about being desperate enough to do certain shows...oh my oh my! Do I really need to point out the glaring irony?
At least the shows he wins actually involve TALENT and are relevant to what he does. He has a top 10 hit album on the back of it but it was a bad move? K, good luck with that effed up logic.
Seriously, you talk no sense whatsoever.

Oh really?
From the Daily Mail re Joe:
In April 2011, after 16 months, his contract with Syco expired and was not renewed, due to low sales of "Someone Wake Me Up". A source at Syco said, "Simon gave Joe the best chance possible of success by making sure he worked with some of the world's top producers. Joe's a lovely boy and it is a pity it did not work out."
That is what I call......... blowing it.
You are obsessed with chart sales when most people regard them as an irrelevance. Jedward's fanbase are far more likely to download MP3s from P2P sites.
I really hope Joe's exposure on Operastar will help him.
Ultimately money talks though. In financial terms Jedward have been incomparably more successful than Joe. It may not be what you want to hear but it is a fact. Sorry! :)

Your obsession with money is just creepy and Im tired of even going there with you.
Im sure Joe could have made tons of money too if he had *****d himself out to every low class irrelevant brand that waved a cheque under his nose. But guess what? Some artists have more class than to do a shake n vac commercial. Or, yikes, Go compare. Scraping the barrell just so uncle Louis can get his 20%.

John certainly is the lead one in the act too, onstage,it is John who really works the crowd and gets things moving, Edward is more introvert than John and relies on John more but in truth, they compliment each other.

John and Edward are both asexual.
Maybe, or maybe it's a strategy to keep awkward questions away.
Thye didn't like it at all, in the early part of the show when the other HMs questioned them about sex. And then Edward flew at Paddy and pushed him to the ground, when Paddy dared to try and get into John's bed.
Since then, the HMs have largely backed off that issue! ;)

They've never really done anything to make me think they'd be gay, they're just a bit camp maybe.

A bit??????? :D They are very effeminate. But I agree that doesn't mean they are gay.
One of the most effeminate males I've ever met (a work colleague) turned out to be straight and is now married with a couple of young kids.

Groups, singers and actors and other celebrities, whatever their sexuality is, is none of my business, if they including Jedward wish to say their leanings then that's fine, but I have no interest at all in what their sexuality is.
In the acting profession, it would seem a fair amount of people in that are either gay or bisexual and that's their business.
This is 2011 not 1911, attitudes have changed dramatically and that's one of the better things to have happened the last 100 years.
The twins were bullied at school, likely that affected Edward more than John which also may possibly explain why Edward relies on John more and why John is more protective towards him too.

In an ideal world, I would agree with you Joey.
But it isn't and the public regard celebs as their "property" and want to know every little detail about their lives. Many mags and papers would have to close down if this were not so.
It is a question of honesty, not sexuality, I think. The twins, by projecting an asexual image, can keep their options open. This may be important especially if one is gay and the other straight, and at a later stage this comes to light.
The act depends on them being identical in every way. A huge difference, such as sexuality, could jeopardise that.
Oddly enough I couldnt care less where they prefer to stick their willies.
Zippy and I can agree on that. :D
But it may be a commercial issue, as I have indicated above.
