It's been utterly amazing, just special.
It was a fantastic way to launch a new era - I just loved it so much.
I expect this is it [Me, Locke and you] that only like it, the rest of the forum spent the whole 3 weeks moaning about it. :idc:
They'll look back in a few weeks when BB12 sucks and think 'Oh Gee, I really was amazing in CBB8'

I stopped watching 10 days ago and only switched on again when I came here and saw the Jedward out thread!
so yeah, they destroyed it for me and the rest of the cast were just not good enough to make up the deficit.
Im sensing the only ones who really loved it are Jedward fans.

Far better than some people think. I enjoyed it as a HL show. Which is what you need to see it as.

It has been really enjoyable for me, I have loved every minute of it, and the usual surprise winner has again proved nothing is certain in BB no matter how big or how small your status may be.
I think the only person I believed all along would win a BB series was Brian Dowling in Ultimate BB last year.

bit hypocritical you talk about moaning and then you moan about bb12 before it even starts ? :P and i enjoyed it too for the most part! taras probably my favorite cbb houseguest ever
I was pleasantly surprised with this series of CBB and that's being said as someone whom generally doesn't care for the "celebrity" installments. I think it was a great starting point for C5 and with the finale peeking at 3.7 viewers I think it's safe to say that C5 will be very happy with the results of their incarnation of the BB series.
In terms of the housemates themselves, when the show initially started a few of the "celebs" had me scratching my head wondering how they got in there but once everyone got settled in and the banter started kicking off I really began to warm up to each of them (With the exception of Pamela and Sally). I initially hated Jedward after only knowing them from their appearance in the C4 BB where they acted like complete twits, but I really warmed up to them and their infantile ways. Amy Childs was gorgeous and made for great eye candy (although she totally toyed with Lucien's emotions after she realized he was flirting with Kerry and not her) and Kerry and Paddy's seemed genuine and probably the most centered in terms of who they are and what they expected to take away from the experience. At the start I didn't give two ****s about Bobby or Darryn, but when they began to kick off at one another I really enjoyed that and actually came away with little respect for Darryn (If Paddy likes him he can't be all that bad).
I think that the voting public got it completely right this year in terms of how the final contestants were eliminated and with who won the series. Paddy made for an excellent winner because he really seemed to be genuine in everything he did from his actions to his opinions. I know everyone thought Jedward was going to win the series based on the viewing demographic but this year the public really seemed to have their finger on the pulse of who was being real and who was putting on.
All in all, I was very impressed and pleasantly surprised with how well C5's incarnate of CBB ended up being. The house was absolutely incredible and now that the real series is about to kick off I'm full of excitement. Can't wait to see what's going to happen next!
I'm fed up with 'celebrities' who's only claim to fame is being a non celebrity in a Reality Show, the clue is in the title and the lack of live feed is an issue

I got into it as the series went on, but not much as previous years, thing is what really did my head in, the no LF, i felt i couldn't bond with HM's in the same way i could if i seen more of the HM's, i just hope the Channel 5 put out more updates & video clips when the normal one starts tonight, cause i know im going to loose interest in it.

Thoroughly enjoyed this series, what a great start for C5
I'm sad it's all over but hopefully BB will fill that void.

I thought it was brilliant, beat my expectations.

No, I haven't - my life has been so much more complete without having to watch the sub-teen antics of Jedward or listen to the banalities of Kerry and Amy ..... ;)

I got really bored with it after three days. I only continued to watch as I enjoyed seeing Jedward annoying the others. I had never heard of Bobby, Darryn, Sally so I don't know how they warranted being celebrities. So glad this is over and now looking forward to what Big Brother is all about with unknowns. I would give this CBB 2 out of 10.

Very wise. Wiser than me a BB addict. I watched it hoping it would improve and out of curiosity to see how big a balls up CH5 could make of it.
It got worse by the day. Cringeworthy rubbish of the highest order made worse by CH5 gimmicky glossy unrealistic editing that took away the feel of reality.
To say this series is one of the best must mean many have memories of a gold fish. Even the most boring CH4 version was infinitely better then CH5 pathetic efforts

Ive been watching these since BB6.
& I have to say this one is the shortest ive ever watched.
3 days and I was done with it. Or whenever Tara made that saying in my sig/quote.
That was the last time I watched it.
Maybe in time Ill catch up on it....right after I watch the last week of Ultimate Big Brother
Maybe in Jan. or whenever they are going to rush out and make another CBB (just for names sake) they will actually have proper celebs

With CBB8 we have - maybe - seen the best of BB on C5. With abysmal ratings for BB12 (down 40% from CBB8), one wonders whether the show can survive.
It will be interesting to see what they do for CBB9 in January.

If this carries on, then I can see only a CBB series in future years. CBB was deemed a success on Channel 5 and also people know in the main most of the celebrities so less programming time is needed.
Having said that, if they made changes to next years CBB and BB, then the ratings could rise considerably,I think next years series now is the test. I doubt though that CBB would be dropped.

In my opinion it was terrible as every episode was so predictable; it would start off with about 10mins of Paddy and Darryn talking, then about 5mins of Jedward making breakfast, then Amy and Darryn talking for 10mins and we would end with about 20mins of Amy/Kerry and Lucien.
I am so glad it is over
I liked it at the time but basically since this series started it's been so good that I've forgotten all about CBB
