On this thread (http://www.thisisbigbrother.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=43093) and this thread (http://www.thisisbigbrother.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=43027) I am seeing a lot of vitriol aimed at someone people have never met.

I am not a fan of Sezer, nor am I in the hate Sezer camp, but someone seems to be in danger of bursting several blood vessels here.

Assuming the Cezer Imogen thing is genuine, (and even some people can not conternance that possibility), this hatred is rubbing off on to her. People want horrid things to happen to her

This is almost like the dark days of the Roman Colleseum where the crowds would bay for the death of a gladiator.

I am seeing the start of the red mist of a blood lust and it is not pretty.

In the past I have been critical of the production supremos for pushing the envelope a bit too far, but in BB5 the real nastyness came from fans. I sit out BB6, for personal reasons. Drop in to BB7 and things have not improved.

I tried that Big Brothers Big Mouth and that was no better. BBBM seems to be favouring the eviction of a particular person. Are they not supposed to be balanced an neutral.

BBLB can do it

This mob hatred I am seing here demeans us all, am I the only one to see what is happening here?

Is this a sign of the Cyber Devil's Advocate coming back to the aid of a housemate?

I think BB will die soon, because ex housemates are being attacked, as are families and friends.

Nush BB5, Lesley, Anthony, Science BB6 and i'm sure I have missed some out.

This year, friends & family members have already been attacked, and some of the housemates will be after leaving the house too.

People take it far too seriously these days :nono:

I don't mind people hating the housemates while they're in the house. That's all art of the fun, but when they come back into the real world again, they're back to being regular people like you and me and deserve to be treated with the same respect I'd hope you'd give any other person.

I think its pretty pathetic how some of the housemates get treated after they have been in the house, you hear about certain housemates getting alot of abuse shouted at them wherever they go when to be honest people have NO right what so ever to say anything, afterall like you said JC they are back to being regular people just like all of us.

Yeah I agree really. I've never been into the voting out part of this show, and the negative aspects that go with it aren't why I watch.

I watch it to see real people in that situation, and how they adapt to the environment and how they relate to each other.

It seems every year now there is at least one hate figure.

I've seen a few times here where people have wished housemates get attacked when they get out, and that is not on, as has been written in the forum conduct thread (http://www.thisisbigbrother.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=41910#pid324539).

You're pretty much spot on there Sticks in your OP. The mob hatred synonymous with BB these days has risen as the general qualty of BB housemates has fallen. Ever since BB4, the producers seem to have converted BB into more and more of a freak show. They purposely put housemates in there to either cause conflict (eg lets put in someone who hates gays/immigrants/women/men etc, etc and then put in the most flaming, brazen object of their hate) or pathetic attempts to engineer some on the telly sexual fumblings (eg lets put in a bunch of self-obsessed, sex-obsessed, pretty people, give them a load of drink and hope they end up doing something they'll regret when they sober up).

With the producers attempting to engineer conflict, the general increase in BB's popularity and an increase in the amount of people who have internet access it's no wonder that most of the forums are filled with vitriol and insults, not only directed at the housemates but at other forum users. And this leads to housemates getting crappy treatment back out in the real world.

In saying all that though, I totally get a sadistic pleasure from watching one of my less favoured housemates getting booed on their eviction. But even that has lost some of its shine in recent years cos it seems that just about everyone gets booed now.

Is it my imagination or do the newer members of this forum seem more vindictive than those of use who are a bit long in the tooth (or dentures)

I posted a thread similar to this last year Sticks - I get very upset at all the HATE threads. I am so unsure about what people in the house have done to deserve this level of negative feeling about them.

People sometimes need to step back a little and remember that we shouldnt burst a blood vessel over someone that we dont and probably never will know!

It's fine to dislike someones personality on a show but to be so vile about them is very immature IMHO.

I believe the reason emotions have been running high is because we're watching individuals abusing other people on tele, wether it is to their faces or behind their backs. Yes, it IS a gameshow but one where watch all kinds of manipulative, lying, two-faced behavior. It's difficult to watch people break down and cry on national television. I think morality is the driving force for these emotions. It's a horrible game where people resort to all kinds of insensitive attacks. I think it's entertaining to watch tasks and mingling of very different people but most of us can't help but get carried by the emotional rollercoaster as the day to day events unfold.

Needless to say I think it is wrong that once they are out they are abused-that's just not fair. They gave a part of their life to entertain us even if it was for their own personal gain. You have to be pretty brave to be televised 24/7 even in the bathroom. I give them two thumbs up for going in there.

It'll be more of a Roman Arena if they came out of the doors on eviction night and were greeted by jungle cats. But seriously I know what you mean.

First of all, I am a new member of this Forum, but I am not vindictive, nor I hate anyone! Hate is a very strong word!
I confess I liked watching Sezar's face when Davina announced his eviction! But just because he was so confident and people should really be a bit more humble!
As for what happens in the house, I think it's pretty much what happens in the everyday life of every person in this planet! The only difference is that they don't have any privacy in the BB house! I don't pity any of them as they are inflicting that upon themselves for the sake of being famous, even if it is just for 15 minutes! At least, in there, they are safe! The real Roman Arena is outside and there are lots of non famous people that get much worse, but they don't make the headlines!

they knew the deal before they went in, if they did'nt want to get abuse, dont apply to go on. They have chosen some pretty outlandish characters this season, i was worried when i heard they were putting a tourettes sufferer in. ..He turns out to be the most sane one in there, Big Brother have unearthed a real treasure in him, even all the other housemtes know he will win it, quite rightly.

As for going too far .. i dont think they go far enough, upon eviction, i think the bad housemates should be stoned.
There should be an old woman outside selling stones aka Life of Brian:
"Stones sir"?
"Nah, they got them lying on the ground"
"Ooh, not like these sir, these are real craftmanship, feel the quality"!
.."ok, 2 bags of pebbles, and a bag of flats"!!

So you advocate the use of physical violence?

Is that not in breach of the forum regulations?

My feeling is, if they come onto TV and act in a way that is going to infuriate people, then they should expect to have a backlash. I'm not defending the people who take it too far but i think it's all part and parcel of being a celebrity these days.

I think all the bad housemates should be forced to come on this forum and be interrogated by TiBB members.

I think the problem lies with people being incapable of distinguishing the show from the real world.

While they are in the show, we are supposed to love some and loathe some. It's all part of what makes the show unique. But, after they leave, they should be afforded the respect they are entitled to. Obviously they will be subjected to some invasion of privacy, as anyone in the public eye is. But, there is no reason for people to attack them verbally or physically just because they were on a TV show.

It's pathetic. It's telly... ffs!

It's like Big Daddy v Giant Haystacks.

A bloke called Shirley against a bloke who can't afford a razor.

I am ressurecting this thread for others to read

This is what we are becoming

TiBB used to be the friendly board, I fear that has been lost.

Well I probably wouldn't hate Aiseleyne so much if it weren't for all the Grace haters. The problem with BB these days is that people can't tell the difference between a good housemate and a good person. BB is like a daily soap and every soap needs a villian so what's wrong with Grace?

Yeah I'm guilty of that cos I started a 'hate Aisleyne' thread cos I was sick of all the nasty stuff the Ash fans said to Grace.
