Tomorrow sees the earth going through a nice stream of comet dust, which means we get a lovely display of shooting stars! This display should start from 10pm onwards and we could see as many as two shooting stars a minute  So how much do you want to bet that it's cloudy tomorrow :wavey:
Just thought i'd mention this as it could be nice to watch :wavey:

That sounds lovely! I've only ever seen two shooting stars in my life!!!!!!!!!

For the superstitious among us, if you make a wish when you see a shooting star, then your wish WILL come true

Will Young, I'm gonna make that wish you lucky boy!!!!

Thanks for letting us know about this Amy.

Unfortunately, the weather where I am is forecast to be rain tomorrow, but I'm hopeful that I'll be able to catch a glimpse of these shooting stars. http://www.plauder-smilies.de/star1.gif http://www.plauder-smilies.de/star1.gif

I wonder if a certain Paul Clarke will be gazing up at the skies tomorrow night, thinking that he's spotted another UFO?   (Wonder what he wished for when he saw that shooting star in the BB2 house?)

I remember him saying on BBLB that he'd made a wish on that shooting star, Kaz.

Whatever it was, I have a feeling that it did come true. :paul: :helen:

Great I'll be looking out for them, I've got a telescope and have seen the rings of Saturn. But I just hope it doesn't set off Stick's again about metorites hitting the earth.

Same here Steve - clear blue skies and sunshine all day and now it's cloudy. Never mind, apparently we'll be able to see them over the next few nights so fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Same here too, Steve. Beautiful day and then a disappointingly cloudy night.

I hope you're right, Susieq and we get another chance to see these shooting stars. I'll be watching again tomorrow.

Well, I went out last night with my pillow and some wine, and you know what??

IT WAS BLOODY CLOUDY!

So, there may well have been a lovely stream of stars, but Newcastle didn't see it.
