Michael McIntyre has left Britain's Got Talent.
The stand-up comedian served as a judge on this year's run of the ITV competition opposite Amanda Holden, David Hasselhoff and - for the live shows - Simon Cowell.
ITV has now confirmed that McIntyre will not return for a second series.
"We wish him all the best and look forward to working with him again," an ITV spokesman said, as revealed by The Mirror reporter Mark Jefferies.
McIntyre joined Britain's Got Talent at the end of 2010. It is not yet known who will replace the Comedy Roadshow star on the programme.
It was recently alleged that fellow judge Hasselhoff's position on the ITV1 talent show was under threat, although Cowell later insisted that no decisions have been made on the make-up of next year's panel.
Little Britain's David Walliams has been linked with the talent contest in recent weeks.
Personally pleased by this, I don't think he made a good judge.

I liked him on it, but somehow this doesn't surprise me at all.

Gutted :( he was miles better than David, I thought he brought some light humour to the auditions and live shows actually.
Nooo! The best judge there was :(

I agree that he was better than David but he didn't seem to have much negative criticism for the acts, you could tell he didn't like being mean to anyone.

I'm disappointed he was by far my favourite judge this year.

Aw, that sucks. I loved him on the show. I kind of hope they get rid of David now though as well, I didn't really like him on the show last year. I can't imagine they'll ever get a replacement as good as Michael though. :(

They should just axe the show now. What even happened to him who won it this year? :S

YES... although isn't he contracted to Channel 4? So he couldn't do it even if he wanted to.

Bringing a new album out at Christmas so I've heard, obviously going to be on the RVP as well.

BGT was awful this year, it's about time they just put it out of its misery. Seriously what is the point in it when the final 3 are nearly always singers, solo or groups. It's turning into a poor mans X Factor. Not to mention its one of the most predictable shows on TV, right up until the point the winner is announced.
