Publicist Max Clifford told the Guardian: 'She will be going to the police. She believes her phone was hacked by the News of the World, and Jade’s.

Scotland Yard and News International declined to comment on the allegations.

Mr Clifford told Sky News: 'According to Jackiey, there were several stories which could only have been obtained through hacking.'

Ms Budden, 55, believes her phone and those of her daughter and widowed son-in-law Jack Tweed, 24, were hacked into. She has alerted Met police and called in top lawyers Mishcon de Reya.

Ms Budden said: “Jack knows he was hacked too, while my little girl was dying. I was having my phone hacked and so was Jack. It is sick. My little girl was fighting cancer.

“I will sue these people for doing what they did, it is pure wrong. These people need to pay for what they have done.”

So it's not just about the morality, then ..... ;)
