I would love for there to be a new BBUK-style show here in the US. a nightly show with private nominations and a public vote to save, and a 24/7 live internet feed. It could be called "The Golden Cage" or something.

We have never really had a show like this before, and I think it could be really popular, easily getting 10 million a night.

Do you think this would ever happen, and if so, do you think it would be a success?

Ryan.

No, I think america prefers the "in your face" bitchy type drama shows.

Yeah, clearly that's what I was doing  It's the original title of Big Brother, obviously.

But didn't they try that in Us season 1 and it failed?

Not sure how I know that LOL.

if they had the right people and entertaining hgs and a vote to save it might work.

Yeah, but it failed because of horribly boring housemates, not because of the concept itself. I've tried to watch BB1 before and couldn't get past the first week.

They even tried to bribe a hg to quit the game so they could throw in a woman that likes to party and that didn't even work even after offering 50,000 dollars XD

They should have just thrown her in anyway, along with a few others.

I speak the truth.

And we already do have a 'US' show, We took The Real World of them - only instead of travelling different parts of the UK for different series and having a new fresh cast every year, we got TOWIE instead. :idc:

They do take our shows, there was a time when America were the ones producing fantastic entertainment, now that has changed - It would be fine if they took our shows and ACTUALLY AIRED THEM there, for example if they aired our X Factor/IAC/Shameless/Skins there - but they just try and make their own versions and then they fail.

They both aired over here
Shameless on Sundance Channel and Skins on BBC America
I imagine since BBC is getting the rights to The Voice UK they may show it on BBC America as well

They should show BB on BBC America instead of all the garbage they air now like Top Gear and Star Trek. The only good shows on that channel are Doctor Who and Friday Night Dinner.

Yup, Season 1 of BBUS was the original Dutch version of the show (stop calling it the UK version plz, cause it's not, it's the Dutch version, there is no such thing as a UK version of the show) and it failed horribly.

TOWIE is really more like a rip off of the HILLs than The Real World. DOes everyone on TOWIE have to live in the same house?

IF anything BB is a rip[ off of The Real World, and TOWIE is a rip off of Laguna beach/the hills
