It's been two months since Amy Winehouse passed away and, of course, the pain of her loss still hangs heavy on her father Mitch.

And it showed when the taxi driver-come-singer performed at the Big Reveal charity event held at London's Hilton hotel in Park Lane.

The 60-year-old fought back tears as he sang a heartfelt song at the party which was attended by celebrities including Michelle Collins and Caprice.

Wearing a crisp black suit, white shirt and striped black tie Mitch crooned away on stage accompanied by a band.

As he worked his way through a selection of songs, his eyes began to well up and he appeared upset by the words he was uttering.

Mitch has embarked on his singing career mainly thanks to his daughter's success, which he admits on his website.

He says: 'Well of course I wouldn’t be in this position without Amy, but now the opportunity is there, why not take it? Who wouldn’t want to make an album?'

This year he released the LP Rush Of Love, as well as performing live shows around the country.

A wannabe at 60 ?

:suspect:

Amy Winehouse's father Mitch will perform after a charity boxing match in aid of Cancer Research UK at London's Proud2 on October 22.

He has announced that he plans to donate his entire fee to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, set up in memory of his daughter, who died earlier this year.

This is a bit "dubious" .....

Why, of all "sports", boxing for Cancer Research ?

Who invited MW to "sing" ?

Why is he getting a fee for a charity event ?

Why is his fee going to the AWF and not Cancer Research, for which the event has been organised?
