View Full Version : The Twist (All Rumours In Here)

according to some rumours anyway and wouldn't surprise me. she could either pick some rejects or be an impartial judge. it would fit in with a lot that is in the press

I could also see them getting rid of 1 act in every category or it will just be a bog standard double elimination

Tom4784
02-10-2011, 08:15 PM
It'll be a double elimination. They've gone for 16 this year again so we're gonna get a few.

My only access to xf news is on here.. can't believe they've got 16 acts again, it felt so overcrowded last year and I felt it took away from the whole elimination part of the show having a bottom three rather than two!

I'm guessing either...

1) The judges all swap categories, funny if Gary ended up with Louis ****e acts.

2) The judges are each given one act from each category.

3) Or they all have to choose one act to send home from their own category.

It'll be a double elimination, I think we'd have heard about a potential return for Cheryl given the media interest and they wouldn't do another wild card as a Top 20 is too much.

Marsh.

Hopefully it's the live on air sacking of Louis Walsh after the number of hypocritically idiotic, deluded statements he came out with tonight.

How did they do the wildcard thing last year again?

They all chose 3 acts each and had final 12 which was bumped up to final 16 for the first time in the wildcard twist.

This year they've gone straight for the final 16.

Not really in the end. Some critics seemed impressed by her. Maybe her appearance on US TV was better off left short and sweet, with a bit of mystery and them wondering about what else she may have done. As opposed to staying the whole season and not having much more to show lol.

Probably a double elimination, I cannot see Ms Cole being involved,I hope not anyway.

What I would like to see is a change in the voting, whereby the last 2 or 3 if its a double eviction, sing again but the phone lines are re-opened and the public then decide which act goes out.
Do away with the judges making this decision.hand the full voting powers to the public.

No more of these deadlock votes which are more likely with 4 judges rather than just 3.

Joelle.
02-10-2011, 11:00 PM
If the twist involves wildcards I doubt it'll be a final 20, 16 is more than enough.

More likely the public vote to bring back one of the eliminated 15 maybe? Unlikely though.

There's only three realistic options.

1. Double eliminations- I'm betting on this, it's just XF trying to build up some hype.

2. A single wildcard to be voted back - The most likely option after the eliminations, it would explain Jade Richards being left out as they'd make a fair bit from the vote to bring her back.

3. Guest Judges - A fifth impartial judge that changes every week, Simon said he'd be involved in the live shows in some way so I could see this happening.

I'm not betting on anything more then a double eviction but a guest judge would be cool.

Lee.

Just picked this up on aol.
Jade Richards will apparently not be coming back for The X Factor's live finals in this weekend's promised "big twist".

Many viewers and some celebrity fans, including Lorraine Kelly and Coronation Street's Antony Cotton, have expressed their outrage at the 21-year-old Scot's axing.

But Jade is reportedly recovering from a car accident and her mum hinted that the big twist could not be her daughter's return, saying: "They could never get her down there and ready in time."

A show source added: "Each judge already has four acts. There is no room for any more. So Jade, or any of the other acts already eliminated, won't be coming back."

Jade's fellow Scot Lorraine took to Twitter to voice her objections to Kelly Rowland's decision, writing: "Can't believe Jade didn't make it!

Corrie star Antony wrote: "Jade is the end! So sad. I'm officially sulking."

Or still a guest judge. Once again though why the outrage at no Jade? All 4 singers who made it through are at least as good, if not better than Jade anyway. I do think she is a good singer of course, but its nothing close to the Gamu stuff last year because the 4 through all deserved it in their own right, while Cher and definitely Katie didnt after falling apart in Judges House.

I think Cheryl underestimated the respect Simon has built up for Paula Abdul in the 8 years they spent together on American Idol. Cheryl looks completely lost because Simon is sitting next to Paula and not her.

I am in no way a Cheryl hater, but Americans are fickle people and they need familiar faces. Aside from what we are reading ie "Cheryl is better than Nicole", Nicole was outstanding in Dancing With The Stars - the best ever contestant. She is known all over the States for the Pussycats, whereas Girls Aloud (sadly) never broke America. Nicole has a very compassionate side, and it feels more believable than when Cheryl cried on the program.

Idk if this is the "big" twist, but Tulisa was on this morning, this morning, and she said the twist this year was that whenever an act covers a song, they're allowed to put they're own spin on it, which i'd presume means they can change pretty much anything about it as long as they keep the lyrics the same :suspect:

That's not a twist anyway as it happened previous years.

That's a pretty crappy twist, and as has been said, it's hardly a new thing anyway.

Its definitely not the twist. Not sure if the twist will be anything exciting though. Probably a double or maybe triple elimination or some crap is about it.

Thankfully Louis has pretty much confirmed that the twist is not going to be wildcards - http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1547948
