Four of the acts picked at Judges' Houses will leave The X Factor on Sunday night when their mentors must choose three acts from their category they feel have what it takes to go further in the competition. No public vote this week either.

Great twist, I prefer having 12 finalists anyway. Controversial though.

it seems kinda pointless actually, whats the difference between this and any other stage, apart from the fact we get to see them perform a "full" song

Might aswell have just put 3 people through at judges house instead of wasting time

So this year it's 16 down to 12, rather than 12 up to 16.

People talk about Austin and TreyC etc but the singers who go out early are pretty much forgotten about. It's only really the top 3 that count.
Seems like winning the show is a curse, whereas 5th or 6th is lucky. Ask Jedward or Diana Vickers!

What's the point of a live show if we don't even get to vote? And what's the point of putting the acts they'll be sending home anyway through to the live shows when they could've just gotten rid of them at the Judges Houses

Even though I no longer watch X Factor, what a pointless twist.

Boys: Craig or James (Frankie is the favourite, and I think Marcus has a real shot at winning.)
Girls: Sophie (Definitely won't be Janet or Amelia, and I really can't see them sending home Misha).
Overs: Jonjo (Won't be Kitty she is needed for the headlines, won't be Jonny because he's the most likeable, and won't be Sami because she's the best singer)
Groups: 2 Shoes (Won't be either of the boybands and Rhythmix have more potential than 2 Shoes.. Plus the blonde girl from 2 Shoes is pregnant)

Exactly and also then we wouldn't have to sit through 2 and a half hours of the first show too. Totally ridiculous.

Thats disgraceful as they could take out somebody that has a chance of beating there chosen one this year.

Absolutely ridiculous. What on earth was the point putting 4 through??

I'm disappointed , if not a bit disgusted at the way the competitors are being treated this year. They did the self same thing when they all arrived at boot camp; only to be told. on arrival, that a good many of them were to be eliminated and sent home again, without a chance to perform. This was senseless , down right cruel, and not to mention a waste of expenses getting them there for no reason

Oh, I think it's a good twist. Will be interesting to see whether Kelly will send Sophie home after she raved on about how much she loves her during the first rounds. I hope 2 shoes don't go as they are the only group put through that haven't been made up this year, think it should be a boyband really seeing as there are two of them. Can see Jonny going in the overs depending on how well Sami sings. The boys, not sure, could be Marcus or James as I doubt Gary will get rid of the other two.

That's a crap twist and so very pointless.

There's nothing entertaining about this at all!

Just a live show for the sake of a live show. This show is far too ridiculous now.

MusicXian

Sophie will go before the audience even get to vote :( I think this should have been the twist, but with a public vote and the least votes for each mentor goes.

What a terrible twist that will ensure James, Craig or Marcus go so there is no competition for Frankie... I bet this is why the twist is happening, no way would a boy have gone in the first week.

Sophie will go as well no doubt.

I actually detest this twist... because the ones I want out will stay.

Awful twist, will probably get rid of Sophie (Producers choice, lack of airtime..)

2 Shoes (Only original group, whats the point of audtioning as a group if 100% are manufactured)

Sami (Whats the point of saying no,yes,no to her..)

Boys (James Michael - lack of airtime like sophie..)

MeMyselfAndI

All they are doing is weakining the top 12 :conf:

The top 12 going to end up having the best 12 or most popular 12, now popular people like Sophie will be leaving early, due to the fact the Girls was so strong & the public have no say :bored:

Marc
07-10-2011, 05:19 PM
Pretty harsh. Why not just do double elimination
