The Set/Stage

Have they changed it slightly because its not as ugly as it was last year!
I still think it looked better in 2006/2007,it looked amazing then but then they changed it and for the whole of season 6+7 I hated the set! Now I actually like it (but it still looks ****e compared to the old one).

Maybe its the new graphics,but It looks like they have added new screens on the side of the stage

They're using the current UK one worldwide and its been quite defining in set floors too, that kind of thing is everywhere. Before that, each X Factor around the world used their own design

They actually still have a walkway its just not really used

Yesterday I thought the stage itself looked lower. The same level as the judges. That or they are closer. But nothing else

Noticed that they were using last years graphics on the screens in rehearsals but they've changed them for the live shows

I like the current set but I'm a bit disappointed they've not changed it.

I think they should push the main, central door to the back wall and have it so that the wall curves round giving extra stage space. Widen that central door so that it can separate and be used as two doors, and also a 'main' door that elevates similar to that that was used on Red or Black. Sounds complicated but it makes sense in my head, basically four doors with a fifth elevating one for Dermot/judges.

I just hate the fact there's three doors for four categories, it's always looked a bit stupid IMO.

Thats one of the reasons it needs to change,its stupid the way they have only 3 doors! TBH it would require a whole redesign to fit the stage

Instead of wasting money redesigning the stage, they should just merge the Overs with the Boys and Girls, making it 3 catagories: Male, Female and Groups, or lose the Overs all together. Either way making Louis an impartial judge with absolutely no power or influence in voting decisions. Also sorts out the small matter of deadlock.

I think he means instead of wasting money on making a new set,they should merge the categories. Personally I would not like a merged category
