US disrupts "Iranian terror plot"

The US says it has broken up a major terror plot in which agents linked to Iran sought to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to Washington.

Two men originally from Iran - one a naturalised US citizen - have been charged with counts of conspiracy, Attorney General Eric Holder said.

The plot was "conceived" in Iran by the Quds force, part of Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps, he added.

The state department has listed Iran as a "state sponsor" of terror since 1984.

And it isn't provocative of the USA to place an anti-missile Radar on Turkey which is pointed at Iran, something which only happened last month? And that's only one of the more minor acts of provocation that the US is responsible for

I'm not on Iran's side but it doesn't hurt to look at this slightly objectively

America has proven itself responsible with Nuclear weapons, we've only used them to end the worst war in the history of the world, and we've had plenty of wars since and didn't use them.

To say that Iran should be able to have them like America does is just wrong. Iran has not proven itself responsible at all. And obviously the fewer nations with nuclear weapons the better.
I don't understand any argument that claims that Iran (with a proven history of being extreme and even claimed they wish they could wipe Jews off the map) should ever be trusted with nukes.
Has America ever stated they wanted to wipe an entire race of people from the face of the earth? no. Has America ever used nukes unless it was absolutely necessary? no.

The world has enjoyed the most peaceful century in history because of America's leadership. America has proven itself as very measured and responsible with it's weapons. Has Iran proved itself? No.

I don't think Iran should have nucelar weapons but I'm not completely against it considering the countries that do currently have them, they are far less of a threat than the USSR were with them, and we don't have any concrete evidence that they are developing weapons anyway

Nuclear weapons are a pandora's box though. Once a country has them, you can't undo it. Do i feel great about those countries you listed having nukes? no. You can't undo it. You can only try to prevent other countries from getting them. That's all i'm saying.
