His raw talent and good looks won him last year's X Factor crown.
But the experience may not have been as enjoyable for Matt Cardle as his fans have been led to believe.

In a new interview with Look magazine, the 28-year-old declares that he 'massively compromised' himself for the show.

'I wore yellow trousers and sang Katy Perry’s Firework for ******** sake!' he says. 'Singing pop songs without my guitar and covered in make-up didn’t sit right.

'I hear people in the street saying: “There’s the guy that won X Factor.” I can’t wait for that to just disappear.'

Exactly, he was unhappy with SyCo and he's still with them on a joint record label with someone else, who he has more to do with so has more freedom in his music with less input from Simon Cowell and it still isn't enough?

Callum, don't be so silly.

Many of Horror >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> That ******ing horrible song.

I know Many of Horror is Biffy Clyro's song - but Matt still released it.

Career suicide before he has even released an album.

Well done.

He's got the talent but got to watch he doesn't end up like Steve Brookstein.

I like Matt, well gone off him a bit but he comes across as ungrateful to the show that give him the platform into the music industry IMO, although it's actually not the serious singing competition it pretends to be.

I suppose he has a right to state his opinion just like anyone else

He does have a right to express his opinion but it's not making himself look good in the process...

Yeah, I hate how they turn people into that. But he should've seen it coming tbh. Slagging off XF so much won't really help him. He won it at the end of the day.

He's defo Steve Brookstein the second, though.
