Taking advantage of the time on my hands and in the process of making a tasty Irish Beef Stew.
Slowly simmering away, with carrots, tiny bit of garlic, onion, turnip..... smell is wafting all over the house - I'm drooling at the thought of it already.
Thinking of mashed potatoes and turnip , puff pastry squares..... washed down with a freezing cold glass of milk.
What's everyone else thinking of having on this lovely Friday then?
Home made soup with crusty bread, the only bad part is grating the carrotts I really hate doing that

Home made soup is brilliant - coming into the season for it - big chunks of crusty bread dipped in..... I'm slabbering at the thought!

The weather is apparently gonna be very warm tonight.
Although having a (vegetarian :nono: ) stew doesn't sound too bad, it's so cosy. <3

Given the impending Eviction night tonight - that's sound very much like a plan Chuck. I'll raise my glass to the sunset here and think of you.

Scotland's not so 'very warm' - hey: it's got carrots, turnip, onion and will be served with potatoes - I'm half way there to the veggie stew.

Something bizarrely appealing about kebabs after a good drinking session!! I think being bladdered is about the only way one can cope with that cold layer of fat and grease that forms on the roof of your mouth when you're eating one!! :joker:

You need the grease & fat because when you're drinking, alcohol literally strips everything away and then the next 24 hours is repairing it all, but grease & fat helps the repair. Its why McDonalds is good the following day. Dunno what the exact explanation is but there is some psychology/science behind it :joker:
I never get hangovers no matter how much I've been drinking if i have kebab meat, and if I do get a hangover its usually quite bearable

Nothing quite hits the mark of a full English breakfast - or in the absence of that - a good old downing of that old Scottish Favourite - Irn Bru!! :D

We're having a takeaway but exactly which takeaway I'm not sure yet. :suspect:

I can never do a full english after a night out, I'd just probably throw it back up. Gotta be a McDonalds of KFC! I always drink the gravy... but better still I like going TGIs for the Jack Daniels chicken strips and/or ribs depending on how hardcore I am. I can't have Irn Bru either, I love it but it gives me spots :(:joker: and not even small ones, like full on massive red 13 year old boy ones that you can't pop!
