Anti X Factor campaigns are boring now

All about money themselves

The Risk will have no problems whatsoever outselling it

Boring, only worked once and that can't be topped. It was great when Joe didn't get #1 as well just cos it was Joe. I'll probably like the winner this year.

As much as I would love this song to make number 1, these anti x factor things are boring now

It only worked one time, and it will remain that one time

wasn't Kurt himself fed up with this song? seems a bit self-defeatist

It won't work, look how Alexandra & Matts campaigns did :laugh2: Well they got to #2, but nowhere near close to #1.

Alexandra didn't have a campaign, Joe Mcelderrys was the first one

The X Factor song isn't going for Christmas #1 this year though is it? It's released like a week before so it'll be in it's 2nd week for the Christmas charts. Should be easy to beat this year.

She did I think. People were campaigning for Jeff Buckley's version of Hallelujah to get to #1, it only got to #2 though.

Stupid and spiteful IMO.

Misha B > Nirvana :idc:

I dont think another campaign will ever work. The campaign aspect made their point in 2009. It might have a better chance this year though because of the way the charts fall. This years Xmas #1 will be announced on Christmas day itself- 2 weeks after the winners single is released.

I wouldn't count it as a campaign tbh, I think it's just people's intrest in the original was rearroused because of it being the winners single

There was a campaign aswell, but it was no where near as big as Joes, although as people were interested in the song it would of been like #3 anyway, and the campaign like probably added like 10,000 sales.

Would be good. But don't get why they don't get a xmas classic like Fairytale Of New York as like a tribute to Kirsty MacColl or something
