I think its because this is the first season where more than one housemate has a problem with gays and therefore they enable each other, usually the homophobe of the season gets shut down as soon as they even start to speak their mind

I hate the two homophobic guys passionately, but I do like that they have more homophobes than normal - homophobia exists and sometimes the majority of people in a group are homophobic.

Also Nate's friend probably committed suicide because he was gay and knew his friends (including Nate) wouldn't accept him

I hope you're not being serious. Homophobic people always deny being homophobic because they are not afraid of homosexuality, because for some reason they suddenly become linguists and decide to dissect the word, despite the fact that the suffix phobia means eithe irrational fear or dislike of something, and it could be argued that irrational dislikes stem from a fear e.g. fear that homophobia will invade their lives and pollute society or whatever. I find that homophobic guys often decide to become etymologists over the weird because they want to seem like "macho straight guys" and show that they're not afraid of anything... really pathetic.
But anyway I can't tell if you were joking or not, but if not, let's not try to be an etymologist all of a sudden, please. It's so annoying

Why are gay/lesbian/bi people constantly judged by others? they are just the same as us but happen to have a different sexual preference.....just as straight people have a different sexual preference to them.

How can anyone dislike something which has ZERO effect on their life whatsoever? homosexuality harms nobody so I wish people would shut up about it and get over it! It shouldn't even be an issue anymore, each to their own.

Well I'm yet to hear a rational reason for disliking homosexuals therefore I would consider it irrational. And these analogies are pretty stupid, you can't really compare disliking football fans to disliking football fans. But I would consider it pretty irrational if you actually hated every single Celtic fan, it's alright to say it jokingly as a Rangers fan but it's a bit stupid if you're serious

Some people could dislike it on religious grounds but i am not going down that road.
As i've said i don't think anyone needs an irrational or rational reason for disliking homosexuals or anything else.I guess we are going round in round abouts. I still believe homophobia should be changed to homodislike nothing that has been said has made me think i shall change my opinion.

Like I said irrational  but I think even in religous cases, they tend to condemn the act but not the person themselves so I suppose it's a grey area as to whether that's homophobia or not. But fine call it homodislike if you so wish.
