:dance::dance::dance:

Just got myself booked for 3 days/2 nights break mid December for £89 - flights n half board - heading to the 'hellhole' that is Benalmedena but totally worth it as I'm going for duty free fags and Xmas shopping. :cheer2:

Beats trudging round the high streets here or ordering online.

Would anyone like me to get them anything while I'm there?

:D

Fruits, if it fits in my luggage pet, I'll do that for you.

Failing that - what if I just bring back on own little rays of sunshine - I'm happy to share them with you?

I've got that one sussed Arista - I'm not in my 70's so I reckon I'll be fit enough to cope.

Oh now I don't know..... the leather shoes and gorgeous handbags in particular make great gifts for the ladies - however for you, I could buy you a nice leather gimp mask if you'd like? :D

Funnily enough Eoin - I think you'll find that when I was on holiday in Rhodes last month - there was not one post from me on here..... to the point that people were asking on the forum, where I was. You really should get your facts right before posting things that hold no substance.

And neither did I spend my holiday pottering around looking at handbags.

I will be pottering around however on this quick break before Xmas - which isn't quite what anyone would regard as a holiday.

Nah..... I know people swear by it but it's never appealed to me. A quick 2 hour flight will do me fine - plus, you can't bring back all the duty free cigs and baccy from the good old U S of A. ;)

Where did I mention your last holiday in my previous post, oh that's right I didn't, you took it upon yourself to talk for people AGAIN.

I remember one time you were on Holiday this year you were constantly on here, to the point were I thought, 'wow what a **** holiday', maybe thats what the older generation do though, sit around on a PC abroad....

don't play all coy and innocent - it backfired and you were wrong.

You remember 'one time' - and therefore that must be how it is ALL the time. seeing as you appear to have selective memory.... You'll also recall that 'that' holiday - was one whereby it was lashing torrential rain and gales..... for 4 full days. :D but hey, don't let that stop you in trying to have a pop at another member eh...... surprising given your moderator status. :nono:

I wasnt wrong at all. You were. You should stop trying to talk for people, it seems to be backfiring on you a lot lately from what I can see.

As for having a pop? Cop on. I dont track your holidays, I never said you did that all the time again you should stop trying to speak for people.

I don't need to speak for people when they manage to articulate themselves incredibly well...... for someone who doesn't 'track my holidays'... you appear to remember enough about them though. ;)

Now.. back to the thread and back on topic Eoin- what would you like me to bring you back.... some bullfighting souveniers perhaps? :joker:

You know they have late night shopping, lights and decorations in Spain don't you....... plus the cost of the old fags stuff is extortionate here....can't be losing on out the old duty free now.

then I can come back to the biting cold - crank the heating up, get the candles on and look forward to the big day.

superb.

Oh I read it.... and I also did what we are told to do by the moderating team.... keep on topic, which is what I'm doing. :)

Superb, thanks for your consideration of my baggage allowance. Truth be told, I didn't really want to bring you back anything anyway: I was only being pleasant, being courteous to you and not wanting to make you feel left out.

It's not for everyone that's for sure - not everyone enjoys doing things a wee bit different to the norm - a long weekend away is a nice change to the madding crowds here.

I've actually already purchased about 50% of my gifts already - it's nothing more now than sheer indulgence with the chance to pick up some more unusual things that aren't on the UK high streets.

Feel The Force

We are all big kids at heart Arista. Even you.....

Some of us embrace Christmas, and enjoy it, being with friends (or family/loved ones), spending time carefully chosing gifts, lovingly wrapping them up, placing them under the tree etc.

Not everyone is a Scrooge, going around with the "Bah Humbug" attitude.

Spiffing.

ps. you might want to update that piccy.... says Santa died in 2000. He resurrected himself in 2001 and is still going strong.

See...that's something that doesn't appeal to me at all....but God, the kiddiewinkles must love it (though I'd have prefferred Lapland if I was a kid - with the reindeer, sleighs, bells, snow, and of course... Santa's Grotto).

Why thank you bbfan. I did a very similar trip a few years ago for the same reason: Bajondillo Beach area - it was a flying visit but really enjoyable - first time I'd visited mainland Spain.

Haven't been to Benalmadena so it will be a novelty if nothing else. :)
