I can see why someone like Pete was chosen, but for the life of me I cannot see why Grace, Mikey, Imogen, Lea, Aisleyne, Sam, George ,even Glyn were picked. They have nothing resembling a personality between them.

I reckon most were chosen as the producers wanted to try and get some romances going on, but thats failing miserably. Relationships must develop naturally, not fabricated.

I know what you mean. Last year it was full of colourful characters all very individual, love em or hate em.

I think Pete, Richard, Lea, Sam & Nikki were well chosen, because of their views, personality & general lifestyle. But as for the rest?? My cat has more personality than them all put together. They just blend together and are so unentertaining. Hope someone wierd & wonderful goes in 2moro night!

2/3 more 30somethings would be good, to many around 21yrs of age. when i was 14 my personality was better than most of them...

I dont really watch Big Brother anymore, I found the housemates bullies and all they do is kiss or lay down most of the day.

Grace, a 'posh' girl who has an okay face.. possibly for George.
Mikey, he came on as sexist on his tape, and BB will have been trying to create as many arguements as possible.
Imogen, pretty.
Lea... gotta be someone who's had surgery.
Aisleyne, I'm not sure.. I was on hols when she came in and didn't see what her video (if she had one :S) was like.
Sam, (from the eyes of BB) transex. One in 40,000 in Britain is transsexual, and BB have had two.
George, for Grace or 'to raise the class of BB'.. you've gotta have someone a bit less common.
And Glyn... I'm really not sure.

Yeah, I agree with you. Though I think Grace has quite a big personality... at least she can express herself.

With a few exceptions Big Brother housemates these days can be stereotyped in three groups: kids just out of school, glamour/promo girls and gay men.

Nothing wrong with that, but I think you need a bit more variety in the personalities and life experiences of the housemates, and more of a cross-section of society.

It's easy to blame the producers for their choices, but it might just be that, with Big Brother in it's seventh series, that only certain types of people want to be on the show now.

They need to encourage, and give an incentive to, different types of people to enter BB. For example, I think if housemates were encouraged just to return to their ordinary lives - and treat it just as a game show rather than an audition - after appearing on Big Brother the housemates wouldn't have the same desperado/wannabe reputation.

None of the housemates from the last couple of series have any real media success anyway.
