Do you think children are born bad?

Or do you think people like Jon Venables etc.. have just had a bad upbringing and mental health issues?

No-one is born bad. Thats absurd.

Not always, but I think you can be. A lot of murderers etc have a smaller part of the brain which deals with empathy, but whether thats learnt or natural is open to a lot of debate.

Interesting. I don't think so though. I think something has to trigger it.

In the short of it yes. But it all depends on how you are raised and your intelligence to what kind of "bad things" you will do.

there's absolutely no comprehension of morals as a newborn baby, so no.

No, everyone is born good, but then as they grow up the world poisons their mind and they end up bad.

I don't think so, "good" and "bad" are only subjective anyway and I tend to favour the nurture argument over nature, that we're products of our environment and upbringing

I think some people are born with mental disorders and disabilities and are unable to have the same reasoning and thought processes as most people, because of that they are capable of doing 'bad things', without thinking they are bad and there are others who are the victims of their environment

I believe some people are born(or grow up) without a conscience...which isnt necessarily down to how you are brought up, its just something that happens. That doesn't necessarily make them good or bad though.

But everyones brains work differently irrespective of what you have/haven't learnt.
