FURIOUS One Direction fans have bombarded Caroline Flack with DEATH threats after she went on a dinner date with hunky Harry Styles.

Enraged Harry devotees have taken to Twitter to slam The Xtra Factor star over reports of a budding romance.

One message read, "Want you to die," and another said, "die bitch."

The chilling tweets come after the leggy brunette enjoyed intimate meal with the 17-year-old on Tuesday night at London's swanky St Martins Lane hotel.

After sharing desserts the pair left in the same chauffeur-driven car at 11pm.

Earlier today, shaken Caroline responded to the vile messages by denying they were an item.

She tweeted: "Hi One Direction fans! To clarify. I'm close friends with harry.. He's one of the nicest people I know...I don't deserve death threats. :) x."
