hi, I've been here for ages but never introduced myself and kept seeing my name popping up in strange places on the forum. I wouldn't want anyone to think I'm ignoring them or don't like them, it's probably that I've just not got the chance to speak to you, or if I'm unlucky it's because your ignoring me!
here is a bit about me:
name danielle (danni)
age 33
favourite BB contestants ever - probably Michelle Bass and Chicken Stu, or Faaron
likes- Chatting, Gossiping, Heath Ledge (RIP), Dance Music, Big Brother, X-factor, foreign languages
dislikes- silences, teaching, flying, work and when it goes dark at 3pm

hi Ammi, yes I joined in 2009, but didn't really take much part until last year. I'm a 'language teacher' but I hate it, I'm quite a shy soul really doesn't really fit me.

I'm gonna try I reckon, only problem I find is that if I have nobody to blindly support (Rebeckah for example) I feel like a bit of a fifth wheel naimh

..I'm shy too..but I'm really outgoing in my job, if that makes sense...at work I don't have to talk about me...so I'm fine..do you teach children or adults?

It's good to be a fifth wheel..you can just wheel along on your own...do your own thing..I like to just 'potter' about here at my own pace...LOL

I teach mostly post 16, some adults these days, but I've done all levels, primary and secondary in the past. I try my best to seem outgoing and all those things but I'm much happier disappearing from view most of the time and it just doesn't seem possible when your teaching.

There arent as many arguments as during BB. But when there IS an argument, its huge, involves half the forum...and results in about 6 people getting banned :joker:

Hi fruit_cake, nice to get to know a little about you! I used to work with kids, both as a substitute teacher and a daycare sub too, but that was years ago. Am about your age as well.

that's interesting, Macho. I did supply teaching before what a difficult experience that was, the kids know your just there for a bit and so take advantage as much as they can. I think to be a teacher in schools you have to be really quite blunt and insensitive to things.

Nice to learn a bit about you fruit_cake, I am really glad you are on here, you and I don't always agree but I respect greatly your opinion on most things.
You are one of the very likeable people on here and I love the way, even against all the odds, you defend your favourites and position on issues.

yes but I meant foreign languages, in my case Spanish not English Pyr.

thanks Matt! I found supply really difficult, especially year 9's. The kids always used to run rings around me, and some of the craziest things happened. On the plus side though the pay was good.

I can understand that, home seems great when you aren't here: away seems better when you aren't there - each have their good and not to good points.
Do you ever hanker to return? Do you think you will?
