After seeing the nominees for the Music awards I would like to see Bands Mentioned that I like / know of / Or should look into!
First band to mention is: Eluveitie
Eluveitie are a folk metal band from Winterthur, Switzerland
I got put onto this band from a friend / his friend / someone I don't know that well.
Came across Their CD on clearance for $13 but didn't get it because it was accoustic. (I got Arch Enemy live cd instead :/ )
At another store I saw the same CD for a Tenner and got it. It's awesome!
It also comes with a DVD of a Live Show, which I was shown from the person who recommended.
The CD is this:
Evocation I: The Arcane Dominion

I shouldn't write this but:
For the Track Omnos, I like to sing "I like Eating Mentos!"

I used to really like Metal when I was a teen. I think I still have an Arch Enemy album.

I have never heard them,
Except a popular song once, saw the Film Clip.
That's it.
(I like buying (hopefully Death) Metal CDs for $10 on clearance, always bands I have never heard of. I go by the Cover Art )
This post I've posted is number 4768666!!

I had originally intended to put 'Heavy' Metal in the thread title :bawling:
was going to add Punk as well :bawling:
I love Black Sabbath to death but hate metal as it's mostly a load of old **** full of unimaginative but often technically brilliant music and awful, cliched lyrics along with embarrasing imagery most people have grown out of by the time they hit late puberty. A lot of metal fans are also absoloutely brutal for reverse snobbery and being a bit clueless to anything but metal, too. Not all of them though obviously.
Not too big on punk either but I like some grunge [Alice In Chains in particular]. Most guitar music I listen to I guess is what you could call ... but I hate saying it ... 'alternative rock'. Smashing Pumpkins, Radiohead, REM, The Smiths, The Cure etc etc.
Industrial & electronic is where it's at.

Just got back from the Market...
Got my first three CDs of Sepultura.
Years ago I saw Motorhead, they were supported by Rose Tattoo and Airborne!
Got played a clip of Dimmu Borgir, there's two CDs from them on clearance for $15 each, but I can't afford that right now :bawling:

Bidded on three original early RAGE Cds (German Band) since been outbid.
But now instead I am bidding on other stuff from the same seller, one is a band I don't know of. (looked up the album name song on youtube and it's awesome)
~
Today at Cash Converters I saw for sale a Metal Hammer Magazine CD which had 1 Deicide Song I don't have. I want to go back and get it! (As I won't be getting the album it's on for at least a few months) :(

I used to love Metal when I was a teenager but I just find it all incredibly cheesy now.
