View Full Version : Does TV suck your life away?

I noticed BB was over and done with before I could blink. I'd be amazed that it was eviction Friday even though the last one seemed just a couple of days since.

Also there are certain documentories or shows I watch and I'm gobsmacked they come around so soon. It doesn't seem like a week at all.

Now there are just 3 weeks left on the X Factor and I'm thinking whaaaaaaaat??

A part of me thinks I wouldn't be doing much else in the evenings anyway but another makes me think - Where's the time going?!

Internet I don't mind. I find chatting to people as I'm pottering about my evening fine/nice. But sometimes, even with great shows on TV, I'll think "where's my hour gone?" :bawling:

It's like going into a timewarp on the net. hours seems like mins. But with tv I'm generally always looking at the clock

That might be the problem. I keep looking at the clock so much recently while watching TV :conf:

I'd be in anyway with the kids so it's something to keep me occupied

Yeah definitely, I seem to just spend a few hours online without even realising it or feeling like it's a long time

God yeah. Home and Away is finished till January on Friday, Grey's is done till January and now X Factor! Dunno what I'm going do with myself, but yeah this year generally has flown by.

No. I usually only watch TV on Wednesdays and weekends.

I guess it depends what you watch. TV can be a great educator. Also, mindless TV can dull your mind when you want it dulled, when you want a distraction.

Yes, I'm a bit like that with books too...sometimes I want to drift into a world of pointless nonsense..depends on the mood

You need to Stretch your Legs wide
and Relax with Music on.
Subtitles on the TV
if its is good - pause the music
take Subtitles off - enjoy some TV.

Of course I have 4 TV's on.
2 in HD.
