how do you think she got on young money

thats how Fred Durst did it anyway....

Samuel.
10-03-2012, 12:59 AM
All of it I think.

Samuel.
10-03-2012, 01:03 AM
I think we should aim for a solid 100 tracks. Split those 100 up into 4 rounds of 25 songs. 5 groups of 5 songs, rank them, the lowest two of each group are eliminated. Leaving 60.

Then what?

Iceman
10-03-2012, 01:03 AM
not sure im terrible with stuff like this but 100 does sound good.

-is wheeled back into retirement home-

Samuel.
10-03-2012, 01:08 AM
Back up plan: always be one round behind Shaun's shoddy anti-hip hop 90s tournament, thus able to steal his ideas as we go along.

Roy Mars III
10-03-2012, 01:09 AM
that sounds best tbh

yea, this isn't like shaun's. we're on that music snob game

Samuel.
10-03-2012, 01:21 AM
So I think we should allow 20 submissions, and 20 supports. We'll be more open to discussing what should and shouldn't go through if we're stuck with too many or not enough. 3 needed for a track to go through. Sound good?

And what should we call it?

Obie Trice lets fans know that he will be dropping a brand new mixtape entitled ‘Watch The Chrome’ this coming this coming Monday.

Former Shady Records rapper Obie Trice has been working hard to put out his ‘Bottoms Up’ album over the past year, but the project continues to get pushed back. The highly anticipated project includes features from the likes of Eminem, and Obie is confident in his new release date for the project.

To help build some hype for the upcoming album though, Obie Trice will be releasing a brand new mixtape entitled ‘Watch The Chrome’ this coming Monday, March 12th, 2012 with the album coming out just a few weeks later on April 3rd.

“Watch the Chrome coming out Monday,” he shared. “Shout out to everybody who supports Bottom’s Up. The album’s coming out April 3. I just saw the first draft of the video. The video is funny, it’s good. I do me, do it like I do it. That’s what it is, man.”

I listened to the first 2ish minutes of each, and was only impressed by the second Black The Ripper video (which was pretty good). And it doesn't matter how lyrical you are if it doesn't sound good. British accents rarely go well with rap, and the beats UK rappers generally go for are more grime than hip hop.

Roy Mars III
18-03-2012, 07:15 PM
the problem is, to me atleast, that almost all UK rappers sound the same.

Compton native Kendrick Lamar may be teaming with Dr. Dre for a brand new single set to drop this coming Thursday.
Kendrick Lamar has been making quite a bit of noise over the past couple months as we creep closer to a potential release date for his much anticipated ‘Good Kid In A Mad City’ album. The young up and comer made quite the splash with his 2011 release ‘Section.80′, and fans can’t wait to see what K. Dot has up his sleeves for the new project.
After Top Dawg Entertainment, home to Kendrick Lamar, signed a record deal with the team at Interscope and Aftermath last week, we reported that Kendrick Lamar may be releasing his first single off the album this week.
A new single did hit the web today called ‘Staircases’, but that Neptunes produced single was actually just a Kendrick Lamar feature. There is still hope for some new music from Kendrick though, and it may even feature the likes of Dr. Dre.
At the upcoming ‘Goat & Fire’ live from Miami this Thursday, March 22nd, new music will be premiered from “Dr. Dre & Kendrick Lamar.” No word yet as to whether or not this will appear on ‘Detox’ or Kendrick’s studio project, but we would be inclined to guess the latter.

Wonder how this will turn out....cant wait to hear it now

Samuel.
21-03-2012, 12:33 AM

Rumours of Kendrick featuring heavily on Detox. Though Kendrick will probably have 4 albums out and retired by the time that drops.

Jay Z wants Jay Electronica, the most talented rapper of all time, to do a single with M.I.A. Jigga does not care about Hip Hop

Brother Leon
21-03-2012, 04:01 PM

Roy Mars III
21-03-2012, 04:04 PM
I don't know if it's happening or not. Jay E has 100% creative control, thankfully, so don't know if he is doing it or not. Heard he may be making one with Frank Ocean though, which would be dope.

I want Jay Electronica to be famous as the next guy, but don't want him ending up like J.Cole, the guy who said he would never sell out but did on his debut album

50 Cent has announced that he will be releasing his fifth studio album on July 2.

The rapper took to his Twitter on Tuesday (March 20) to reveal that he talked with Eminem at the South by Southwest music conference about his album, and planned to contact Dr Dre.

"I kicked it with EM after the show i told him how I feel about my new album," 50 Cent posted. "I'm gonna get on the phone with DRE today about it."

He then announced: "My album is coming out July 2. I got some heat trust me I'm ready."

"My birthdays july 6 so that's a cool date for ME. Its gonna be july2 album, july4 independence day, then july6 my birthday," 50 Cent added.

Back in January, 50 Cent said that he didn't care if his album was released or not, expressing his disappointment with his label Interscope.

In addition to the new album, 50 Cent signed a deal with Avery Books last December to publish a fitness and cooking guide next year.

Seems like he's just pissing about to get out of the Label.

W.T.T sold alright for Hip Hop nowadays (Excluding Lil Wayne,Drake & Minaj, but they don't count for me).
