TNA are set to run a world heavyweight championship tournament especially for UK fans, the company announced today.
Starting tonight on TNA Xplosion — which is broadcast in Britain, but NOT in America — eight wrestlers will compete in a weekly competition for a title shot on the company's January UK Tour.
Those taking part in the 'Maximum Impact Tournament' include popular British grappler Magnus, Kazarian, Christopher Daniels and Eric Young, with four more names to be announced.
TNA President Dixie Carter confirmed: "This is a first for a TNA event outside the US.
"Our UK fans have been so loyal and dynamic that we wanted to bring them a big thank you when we visit in January."
