She has only been offered the deal so far, she has not accepted it, but its nice that she has already had an offer.

Yeah the dragons den label, I guess this would be a big coup for them and at least Bannatyne is a now a stakeholder :D Anything with Bannatyne involved surely would have been thought-over.

But I'm sure you wish her the best anyway.

Of course I do! I think she would wait until she gets an offer from Syco though... I think she'd do better.

hhmmm, I don't know, I think maybe wait for someone better but stay away from Simons label :/

True. Olly Murs and JLS are signed to Epic, and Joe McElderry and Mary Byrne to Decca. So I'm sure something like that would pop up for her.

I doubt it. Artistic licence isn't something that Syco tend to allow much (if any) freedom on.

She's better off without Syco and if they did offer her something - she'd be off her trolley to go with them - after the way many people feel she's been treated - and I wouldn't be surprised Janet herself will be feeling much the same way herself.

Oh I'd go with the former then judging by the acts signed and how well they're doing!

Yeah, absolutely agree with that.

She will flop.

If she does, that will be confirmation that she doesn't have what it takes for whichever market she wants to attract, and will be proof indeed that the judges made the correct decision. (though tbf, I don't think they should have taken her on to start with, it was always going to end with her being voted out by the judges, that was on the cards for weeks now).

I think it could be a good move for her. Would be massive for RKA and they would treat her like their Goddess. Every label needs to start somewhere and they are growing as a business.

Hopefully she'll get some good advice and weighs up her options properly anyway

Yes I wonder if she needs to hire someone to help her already :D anyway an offer is on the table and more could come I am sure. I just want her to be allowed creative freedom she craves rather than get stuck with a label who will not allow her this.

Is she the first to be offered a record deal or has anyone else got this yet from this years show?

I get the feeling that she knows this - esp with her comment last night about "Can't wait to leave here and get my own work out there". I get the feeling this lassie aint daft. ;)

I'm glad she's not with SyCo. She would have been made a puppet and forced her to sing pop songs.

I would be really interested in her first album assuming she goes ahead with the deal.

Not gonna lie, did find her boring towards the end of TXF but I reckon with hard work she could pull out and great album because her voice is just so unique and interesting when used properly. I look forward to it anyway.

If she avoids the huge labels that expect #1 singles and albums every month then she will do fine. She has a nice voice and is likeable enough to sell albums and win over fans that don't watch the show.

On twitter, RKA records have already mentioned that they offered a deal to Janet Devlin, but they said only offered so far, now it is up to her to make a decision.

I hope she accepts and wish her the very best of luck, she should do well for them.

She is still a raw talent IMO....I like her and voted , but she needs to learn stage presence, stage craft, voice projection, and many other things before she is the finished article. Its what cost her on XF, IMO....amongst other things

We should remember that she is still only 17. Yeah Amelia is too, but in comparison she is like 17 going on 27......
