I cannot believe what I have just read.
I feel phsyically sick. This is beyond awful. I would quite happily rip these people limb from limb and be content to do my time for it. A one month old baby FFS.
One-month-old baby with every rib broken fighting for its life after man and woman are arrested for rape and battery
Boy suffers heart attack after horrific assault
Could be one Britain's worst ever child abuse cases
It is believed the boy suffered a broken arm, collar bone, punctured lungs and fractures to every rib. There were also a sexual injury and serious internal injuries suggesting rape, according to the Sun. The baby boy currently battling to stay alive with the help of a life support machine.

There are not enough words to adequately describe this - or those responsible.
I am sickened to my stomach for the pain this poor little mite has endured.

The only 'blessing' (if ever it can be considered that) - if this little one survives and recovers: he will be too young to remember.
Although it then begs the question - would he ever find out about this in later years? And if so, how would that affect him.
I'm at the point when I read such things -that I grudge every penny that goes towards these vicious human beings and keeping them alive if /when they are found guilty and imprisoned. (sorry folks, but that's how I feel). But that's a whole different debate.
Right now: I hope this little fella pulls through.
One month? WTF? How could anyone do that to a one month old baby
Wish I hadn't read this. :(
The love I felt for my baby boy the minute he was born was so overpowering it amazed me! Parental instinct makes people protective of their little uns... what the actual **** is wring with these people?!
I actually can't bear to think of anybody scaring and hurting my wee man and the thought of me actually inflicting any sort of pain on him just horrifies me beyond belief!
I hope somebody gets a hold of these sick bastards and beats the **** out of them!

Sometimes I think there is no decency in this disgusting world. Already, someone, somewhere will be worrying about the rights of the monsters that did this. Either hang them, or make them suffer for the rest of their miserable lives. Personally I'm all for hanging them.

Happened in Vally Drive in Gravesend near myy school, me ,mum and my aunt just went down there by car but police lines blocked the road off. according to friends on facebook, over 100 people were on the street outside his house earlier, shouting threats. my aunt made the point of that riots may happen soon, and considering the amount of pubs that will soon be closing in gravesend, i think she may be right. hope they kick the s*it out of him. im disgusted.

that was something that I could not quite get my head around - the fact that they aren't banged up somewhere - though heaven help them though if/when that does happen. They are gonna suffer big time.
It does make you wonder if there has been thought to ''the public will find out who they are ..... let them out on bail, let them take their chances before legal justice kicks in''.

Barbaric, let's hope they get their comeuppance and are jailed for an extremely long time. I wouldn't be against some vigilantes stepping in during their bail time though.

Echo every word you've said here.
I can't help but think about this alongside another thread asking if victims of a crime would want to talk to their attackers..what could possibly come out of the mouth of someone who could do this, that would change in any way whatsoever, what that child has endured. Why waste any time, money or effort on them. Human Rights are by definition for humans, this is not the act of a human

Don't think this couples life will be made easy now.
One-month-old baby with every rib broken fighting for its life after man and woman are arrested for rape and battery
Boy suffers heart attack after horrific assault
Could be one Britain's worst ever child abuse case
A man and a woman have been arrested after one-month-old baby was allegedly raped and battered.
The tiny child had a heart attack brought on by his injuries and is fighting for his life.
He was rushed to Darent Valley Hospital in Dartford, Kent, on Thursday at 7am, but was transferred to London's King's College Hospital after having a cardiac arrest there.

The man is reported to have been arrested on suspicion of rape and grievous bodily harm.
Suspects: The man and woman who were arrested over the alleged attack are both from Gravesend, Kent
They have been released on police bail until Thursday December 8 while inquiries continue.
'This is an ongoing investigation,' said the spokesman.

'How the baby is alive is a miracle. It's touch and go whether he survives.'

This is where I really struggle to not agree with the death penalty. I know all the ins / outs and there are many arguments for and against: but the bottom line is in this type of case.
Even if the parents are completely unhinged to a very severe degree -they still know what physcial pain feels like - they know they would have been inflicting that on such a defenceless tiny baby. No one is ever going to tell me any amount of rehabilitation will sort them out. Forget all the apologists who say ''they aren't connected to reality x/y/x''.... they still know that a punch feels like, they know what physical pain is: and they inflicted it (and all manner of other horrors) on this child - they knew that much.
The story is bad enough: but the bit that really kills me inside is the tot having a heart attack (most likely due to the stress and trauma).

Latest update: the wee fella is still on life support machine, but people are not happy as can be read here.
Police were last night forced to subdue a 100-strong angry mob who had gathered on a street where a one-month-old baby boy was allegedly raped and battered so badly its heart stopped.
The infant remained in a serious condition today after allegedly suffering multiple horrific injuries in Gravesend, Kent, in one of Britain's worst cases of child abuse.
The boy's horrendous injuries are said to include a broken arm, broken collarbone, punctured lungs and severe bruising, as well as having all his ribs fractured.

He also reportedly suffered sexual injury and internal wounds, suggesting rape.
A group which initially gathered outside the house where the attack allegedly took place started a candlelit vigil, which soon led to damage as emotions ran high.
A man aged 35 and a woman aged 33 were arrested and released on police bail.
One of those involved in the vigil said they had gone to a house where they believed a man arrested in connection with the incident was staying with his family after he was released on police bail.

It's a harrowing story alright, but stuff like this isn't very smart at all:
Those taking part said the group marched round to the house where it is thought the man arrested lived, before objects were thrown at the property and a car on the driveway damaged
First off it's easily possible they've got the wrong house and secondly being arrested doesn't mean that they are guilty, premature vigilantism can be dangerous

Oh I agree with all you have said. They have to ensure that they have the right people and we know how simple it is for the wrong person to be vilified. Chris Jefferies for example.
I'm happy to allow the pair of bastards to be formally identified as being those who did the harm - then throw them to the baying crowds. Though I'd say the connection to a 33 and 35 year old who have a month old baby, both of whom have suddenly disappeared from their home, child no longer about, in a particular area: wouldn't be so difficult to establish - especially when the police are doing forensics in a house that the child belonged. Kinda hard not to identify who the parents without too much brainwork.
Fact remains that the parents still allowed this baby to suffer (even if for some unbelieveable reason they weren't actually involved directly) - they still could not have missed the sheer distress of a month old baby - and allowed it to suffer.
One thing I've not picked up on - how did it come to light? Anyone seen that reported anywhere?
