And the best bit in bold....

David Beckham has reportedly been considering an offer to join Dancing On Ice.

The legendary footballer is apparently facing pressure from his wife Victoria Beckham, friend and Dancing On Ice fan Justin Bieber and the show's coach Christopher Dean to appear in next year's series.

"He'd be great," Dean told the Daily Star. "He likes music so hopefully he has rhythm. We like the idea of an athlete from a different sport."

On Beckham's chances of success in the rink, he added: "You assume contestants are going to be good physically, but they aren't always co-ordinated for dancing."

Beckham himself is quoted by the publication as saying: "There are a lot of options. I'm not in a great rush to decide."

You would think they would come up with stories that are at least a little bit believable

He'd win it easily even if he was the worst contestant ever

It would surprise me if he did the show.Having said that his footballing career is near done now really so I guess it's something he would at least consider. I agree with Oogie Boogie/Novo who said even if he was the worst contestant ever, the public would still likely make sure he won it.

Did they not take into account the fact he's just about signed a deal with Paris Saint Germain for 18months where he'll be picking up 11m for the contract....at least try and pick someone who's at least a little bit believable

I dont believe this,David Beckham might go on the show once his football career is finished though.

He wouldn't go on the show if his life depended on it
