I said the word Gypsies the other day in Form time and everyone stared at me. Thankfully I corrected myself and said "Travellers"
Another teacher told me that if we badmouth Gypsies, It's meant to be reported and serious actions will then take place...
Have you ever said anything 'offensive' in front of a class before?

When I was about 8/9 my uncle let me watch nightmare on elm street, I then plagiarised the storyline and handed it in on a short story assignment. The teacher started to read it out, frowned and then sent me to the headmasters office where I got told off for writing offensive material.
They're classed as Gypsies and Travellers though

WTF? So wait, when I travel does that mean I'm no longer called a traveller because that's the new name for Gypsies? I'm just going to call myself an adventurer from now on then.

Shakira is one of the cutest things in the world
I think that Romani people self identify as Gypsies and I've never heard of that being an offensive word, Irish Gypsies are technically called Travellers I think but still  and I got into loads of trouble for using the word "*****" before, the teacher went on about how in their 20 years of teaching they'd only ever heard that word twice, and that it was also a sexist term which I'd never thought it was
