Jamie Oliver and Eddie Izzard are among the stars who have signed up to appear in 2011's Big Fat Quiz of the Year.

The duo are two of the celebrities joining Channel 4's annual round-up of the last 12 months, the broadcaster has announced.

Oliver and Izzard will be joined by Miranda Hart, who has also never appeared on the show before.

The programme, again hosted by Jimmy Carr, will also feature Jonathan Ross, David Walliams and David Mitchell as team members.

Further celebrity guests are expected to appear to set the teams questions about the year. Subjects covered are likely to include politics and celebrity gossip.

Other festive programming on Channel 4 this year includes a Christmas edition of Coach Trip and new Vernon Kay-fronted gameshow Home for the Holidays.

The Big Fat Quiz of the Year will air on December 27 at 9pm on Channel 4.

Usually love this but it's going so down hill :(

I love this show every year. Russell Brand and Noel Fielding were the best though.

It's been getting worse every year, and this years line up doesn't look too promising either; I only really like David Mitchell and Jimmy Carr.

Nothing will be beat that Russell Brand and Noel Fielding comeback though. Can't believe that was 5 years ago now.

Russel Brand and Noel Fielding together was the first one I ever watched, they were amazing on it, Brand was good with Jonathan Ross as well, think it was the year of the whole thing with Andrew Sachs and the two of them were just taking the piss out of it all

Brand just copied Noel for the entire show

I hope they don't do what they did last year and repeat it about 55 times. OK, once, twice at a push for those going out but honestly it was on so many times last year I felt like my TV had fecked up or something

Can't stand Miranda and Jamie will just do what he always does and try to fit in. The typical uncaool kid at school

Is that why you never put Dec27 9PM Ch4

It was bad enough when Russell left but now that his understudy isn't even on it... Not really worth watching.

I will anyway though.

Jamie Oliver and Eddie Izzard? That's terrible.

The others are pretty much standard for the show every year bar Miranda.
But am I the only one who never has, don't now and never will find Russell Brand the slightest bit funny?
Even on BBBM he came across as a hyperactive idiot who tried too hard to get laughs.

Loved Russell Brand on BBBM, hated him ever since.

It was good except that cringey moment where David & Miranda didn't answer the Price Tag question and their reason was so unfunny, pretending to cry because the newsreader was singing instead of doing the news. :bored:

I like both of them but they were grating by the end.

David & Miranda were awful throughout the night. It was like they were put there so kids would find it funny too whilst the parents watched.

Not that the rest of it was any better. It was a real drag most of the time.

Yes recorded weeks back.

Maybe next year a New Host is needed or something.

Ch4 is hanging on old projects
far too much.

Yeah I don't mind Jimmy Carr as much as most but I'm getting sick of him hosting. Stick Ross on hosting duties, I reckon.

Yeah David and Miranda were awful from what I saw, not as funny as they think they are and kept just dragging out crap jokes
