Just wondered how many people have an account over there. I used to have one but they started to get really pick and started banning folk for little reason.
Have you been banned from digitalspy? If so for what
Vicky.
14-12-2011, 07:27 PM
I was banned for calling someone a hater, then banned for calling someone a hypocrite. Then permanently banned for saying rodrigo was a hypocrite (I s**t you not :bored: )
I have another account now though /troll
And havent ever been banned.

My first warning was for arguing about lea and her fake boobies. I said they look like the Mitchell brothers drowning.
My 1 week ban was for saying that the only reason Rodrigo loved Leeds was the great gay scene and he loves the queen cos he is 1
My life time ban was for saying the Geordie lass that had the tan in this years bb looked like poo stains in underpants.

Yuck DS is horrible for that, you can't have an opinion. Here is amazing
You can insult things to such an extreme degree. Well don't get me wrong, the mods are still strict here, they just actually have personalities unlike DS.
I signed up a few weeks ago but I haven't actually posted at all. The amount of people you hear of being banned for such silly reasons, it just seems like you have to speak 100% positively there or be punished. This place is miles better.

I don't think they have avatars at all. I recall a thread about TiBB on there once where someone said "all the colourful signatures and avatars put me right off!" :bored:
Yep you can't have avatars or signatures there. Nor a personality.

Indeed, I do like the main DS site but the forums just feel like no fun. It feels too serious. Sure a forum has rules but you shouldn't make it so ridiculous. I love the relaxing feeling of this place as well, even with all the arguments. It's just how you can have a proper discussion with someone, whether a moderator or a regular member, and when the discussion doesn't turn into a personal argument it's always fine. Whereas on DS it seems any disagreement and the banhammer will be hitting people so far they end up over here :joker:

Some of the user names are brilliant I have to say.
After getting used to the colourful forum that Tibb is - in every sense of the word - I can see why some here think DS is bland looking in comparison but it does have a huge membership and rarely does it get 'boring' ...... whereas on here, more often than not, esp off season, it's the same 20-50 people that tend to be online and actively posting.
It does have it's advantages as well as it's disadvantages - as does Tibb - they both offer different things.

It may be irrelevant to you personally but not it entirety.... can the site be adequately maintained by only short sporadic bursts of high level members posting.
How many times do you hear fms moaning about 'the state of this, the state of that'..... I'd say it was very relative.
It costs money - the site has free membership: if so few members are here - the revenue it will bring in from advertisers and hits to advertisers sites etc will therefore be minimal - as one example of how it impacts on the forum as a whole.
I'm just saying...

Look I posted agreeing with another member that they enjoyed the site in off season. For some bizarre reason you decided then to jump on my post and try and give some critique of the site, an entirely different topic and one I'm certainly not going to argue with you about at 3.45 in the morning!

For some bizarre reason? I merely gave a comment on how the site was being perceived.
No one is asking anyone to argue, but I'm not going to not ask a question or not put up a post simply because some don't like it, or me.
You'll note that there was humour in other posts I've made on here - those seem to have been ignored.

My sarcastic reply was in response to MTVNs inital sarcastic reply.
I'm allowed to post - I'm not breaking any rules.
I never said you were breaking rules, I just asked you nicely to give it a rest. You seem to want to debate anything a mod says at the moment and it's a little annoying, especially if I want to just have a normal convo with you.

I couldn't care less if one DS member thinks of this as a kids forum.

I'll reply to that by saying that it appears that several of the 'some' same mods appear to have nothing but snipes to just about anything I post anywhere - here or on any other thread yet are allowed to continue in such a manner.
I have actually said that DS and Tibb both offer different things.... yet there has been not one agreement on those comment I've made: only the posts I have made, that haven't been as well received.
You did ask nicely, you were incrediby polite about it - 100% agree with you there...... that's one of the reasons I stay here.

Do me a favour at least please? Reign in the attitude sometimes and learn to admit defeat/stand down on occasion, I'm not saying it to be rude, I'm saying it to so we don't have to clash, ok?.
In regards to you feeling that mods are sniping at you, you know that if you have a complaint it needs to be done through the proper channels; the appeals section, where myself, other mods and admin can all glance over it.

I don't think this is very appropriate, it's something that would better be discussed via PM

I vary between preferring the site off season and liking it on season. Usually depends if my fave is well liked on here or not. Fickle person that I am

Did you wash it first. :suspect: I'm very particular .......
DS is good for the amount of members it has - some of the threads in GD section are hilarious: due to the amount of banter from so many members.....some of their threads have me doubled up - there are a lot of very witty posters.

Shows how Tibb is viewed or perceived as being a site for kids - also, there is another post referring to members behaviour.
Unfortunately 'word of mouth' is one of the most effective advertising methods and people reading those comments - and well, that's not exactly good advertising for Tibb.

The big plus to DS Forums is that it's always active where as this forum is so dead atm. I know it's always quieter off-season but I think it's been one of the most less active off seasons I've witnessed since joining.

thats why I like ds as well. And as far as them being strict, they have because of the sheer amount of posters. Is easy to moderate an argument with a couple of people and let things go. not so much, when its a mob of people!

That's a very good point. It also is most likely one of the reasons that the mods on there aren't allowed to post - and have to moderate only.
