The tragic life story of Amy Winehouse will never be told in a film, her father insists.

With her posthumous album Lioness: Hidden Treasures sitting at the top of the charts, there were rumours that Amy’s ex-boyfriend Reg Traviss had been approached to produce a biopic.

But Mitch Winehouse, who owns the copyright to Amy’s music and has to approve its use, says: ‘It would hardly be a biopic without the music and we’d never allow the songs to be released.

Amy Winehouse Biopic Gets Family's Backing

Amy Winehouse's family are reportedly set to ''entertain'' the idea of her life being turned into a film.

Amy Winehouse's family are reportedly set to "entertain" the idea of her life being turned into a film.

Following recent reports suggesting the late singer's dad Mitch wasn't keen on the idea of a biopic being made about his daughter, they would now consider such a project as long as it told "the truth".

I guess he got an offer he couldn't refuse ..... ;)

Second hand quotes aren't facts & maybe what he meant was that not just anybody could make a biopic, it would have to go through them as they own the rights..
