Tinchy Stryder has reportedly signed up to appear on Celebrity Big Brother.

The 'Number 1' star is set to feature on the Channel 5 reality show in the New Year after bosses decided that they wanted a rapper in the house.

'Champion' star Chipmunk was also approached by bosses, according to The Sun, but 25-year-old Stryder was recruited instead.

Other stars linked to an appearance on the show include Nicola McLean, Lindsay Lohan, Natasha Giggs and X Factor contestant Frankie Cocozza.

Two teaser trailers for the show - one featuring EastEnders' Barry (Shaun Williamson) and another starring host Brian Dowling and former contestants Jedward and Amy Childs - were released last week.

It was confirmed earlier this month that Celebrity Big Brother will return on January 5, 2012

Far from it. He is incredibly humble and pretty shy. When he was the highest selling solo uk act of 2009 he hardly mentioned it. He has a huge fanbase but I dunno how he would do in there as he isn't the loudest most controversial. He could be liked for just being a cool guy though.
