Suarez is appealing, so it could take a bit of time for that process to happen and he could play against Manchester City soon.

If he loses the appeal and the ban served he will be back against Man Utd at Old Trafford of all games:eek:;).

From what I gather the term "negrito" can either be a term of affection or a belittling word, and I suppose considering he used it in a heated rivalry game towards Evra I guess they thought he wasn't trying to be affectionate

Negrito would also be a term referring to the vile N word over here, big difference between our culture and South America of course.

I must admit I had my doubts before whether he would be found guilty before because of the language barrier and based on what actual evidence the FA had to proceed.

I've just seen Liverpool's statement and all I can say is oh dear:bored::mad:.

I guess that in Uruguay they are not as politically correct as in the UK. Anything ending in -ito or -ita in Spanish is a diminutive, like a smaller version. Señor (Mr) Señorito (Master), Señora (Mrs) Señorita (Miss), rightly or wrongly :shrug:

Where did he admit it? I thought Suarez had denied it. And, at the hearing Evra even admitted he didn't think Suarez was a racist.

Im pretty sure he said he didn't mean "Negrito" to be taken offensively, which is how the whole cultural differences debate started.

either way if you say it 10 times I think it is clear what you are trying to do.

He admitted to using the word "negrito", but not as a racial slur. Evra also called Suarez a "dirty south American" or something along those lines aswell, and nothing has happened about that... yet.
