View Full Version : Ron Paul is making Republicans in America go into panic mode because he might win

The mainstream media in the US has gone out of its way to ignore Ron Paul. He routinely won straw polls and could raise millions of dollars in a single day (almost entirely from average Americans) yet he has been scoffed at by the media as someone having no chance to win. In one debate he was only given 89 seconds of air time yet Ron Paul is on the verge of winning Iowa (the first contest) and throwing the Republican party into chaos. There are some very interesting videos on this subject...

If Ron Paul were to win the presidency of the world's "superpower", he would shake things up and it would affect the UK. I think the people who rule and control America one way or another absolutely would find a way to keep Ron Paul out of power but it's beginning to dawn upon me how little democracy is actually in America.

Ron Paul is a homophobic gun nut. People think he is very progressive because he is anti-war, but if you look at his position on other issues, including healthcare and civil rights, Ron Paul is just as dangerous and ignorant as all the other republiCON candidates.

Ah..... so you are beginning to realise that the old freedom, equal rights on all things on all subject matters etc: that you so bitterly critisise the UK for lacking, is as deeply rooted in the good ole US of A too. Quelle surprise eh!

I never said the US was much better or even a truly free country. Though when it comes to freedom of speech and other things, the US still (at least for the moment) has the UK beat. I'm also glad that terms multi-culturalism (which is an oxymoron as there only ever is one culture) are not a part of our lexicon.

Trust me, this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Ron Paul's ideas to change America. He's clearly not molded from the same clay as the other candidates which is why I love the guy.

So you are against gun control? You think everyone should be able to carry assault weapons on the streets?

You don't support civil rights? You think gay people don't deserve equal rights and equal protection under the constitution?

You don't support universal health care? You think that rich people have more right to life saving medical treatments than poor people?

REALLY? Mr. Paul loves to wave around his pocket sized copy of the constitution, but unfortunately he doesn't seem to have actually READ it.

If you're interested in civil liberties Ron Paul is the ONLY choice. He's the only one who even talks about "civil liberties". I have never even heard the other candidates utter the phrase.

Ummm, no. Universal health care sucks. The quality sucks. The waiting sucks. Not that the US is a perfect system as it is like a hybrid between government controlled and free market in such a way that it gets the worst of both worlds. We would be so much better off if we moved to get government out of the system. You clearly haven't listened to what Paul says on the subject because he actually IS A DOCTOR who worked for a church and no one was ever turned away. But then the government got involved and all that changed.

LOL. What u smoking? If the founding fathers were alive today, Ron Paul would be one of the few Congressmen that they'd even talk to. They'd shun the rest out of disgust.
