I have done Skiing and I think I got alright at it. I wanted to Snowboard but I was 7 when I first went on a winter sport holiday and my parents made me learn skiing first and I don't think I can be bothered to learn Snowboarding now. Haven't been in a couple years though, would love to go again soon.

Skiing definately, i think because i started at such a young age about 10 and didn't try snowboarding until I was about 18. I seem to be able to get more speed up when I am skiing, i found the snowboard a bit cumbersome.

I imagine Skiing is way better because you're actually facing foward.

I've only ever tried Skiing, I had aches in muscles I didn't know I had and managed to master the art of crashing causing minimum damage

I don't like snowboarding, its really restricting because you're stuck to the board and its weird but I feel kind of claustraphobic. I like skiing though because you can actually move and feel you have some control

Skiing  Snowboarders spend all day on their ass in the middle of the slope thinking they look cool :idc:

I've never tried either and it's something I've never really given any thought to.

It really doesn't appeal to me.

Skiing, no contest. Snowboarders make me mad, ploughing up the piste for the proper skiers...

However... I have to say that I'm almost Olympic standard at Apres Ski. This despite a nasty injury I sustained in Switzerland when I fell off a rather high bar stool and bruised my thigh. 'Course, I couldn't feel it until the next morning.

Neither - love snow, love watching winter sports but not actually doing them - far nicer doing all that watching from a comfy chair in a cosy bar with a log fire roasting the tooties and a few snifters to keep away the cold air.
