Brand New Series - Coming Soon
American fantasy-drama series, Grimm, is new and exclusive to Watch from February 2012. From the executive producers of Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel, comes a fantastical world of police work where all cases have a storybook connection... but not always a happy ever after. Grimm, set in Portland, Oregon puts a dark new twist on the Brothers Grimm stories. Imagine if the tales, adored by generations, were real and there was only one person who could stop the villains.
In this supernatural series there is no knight in shining armour coming to save the day. Instead our unlikely hero is homicide detective, Nick Burckhardt (David Giuntoli). When Nick begins to see things that he can't quite explain - beautiful women transforming into hideous hags and average Joe's evolving into vicious trolls - he begins to question his sanity.
In Grimm, there are no such thing as bedtime stories. Everywhere Burckhardt looks he sees monsters. Destined to take on the misfortune of his family, Nick becomes ever more entwined in the ancient Grimm tales. He finds it hard to hide the dangers of his identity from his fiancée, Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch) and his partner, Hank (Russell Hornsby). The only person Nick can trust with the truth is Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell), a reluctant informant and reformed Grimm creature, who helps him unravel each case.
Nick must navigate through the forces of a larger-than-life mythology, facing off with Hexenbiests, Blutbads and all manner of ancient evils, including royal lines dating back to the original profilers themselves, the Brothers Grimm.
Just saw an advert for this and thought it looked a lot like Once Upon A Time and after reading the article it sounds similar too so I will probably give it a watch and see how it goes, it started in America in October and starts here February/March.
7.5/10 rating on IMDB

Looks very cheap but will give it a go.
Alcatraz looked great but is a little dull so it might be the opposite for this show.

Looking forward to it, been meaning to watch it for ages. If it's a tenth as good as Buffy was then I'll probably like it.
Looks a bit like Supernatural
I thought it looked like Once Upon A Time only scary.

Missed a lot in the middle. Don't know what to make of it really' don't see how they can stretch it out very far.
But then the ones I think that about always tend to be the best shows.
I enjoyed it and I still jumped at the girl being attacked even though I knew it was coming
I also still think its kinda the same as once upon a time.

To stay on topic. Watched Grimm, and it seemed ok. I like that Grimm is just a cop with no special powers other than to see some peoples true faces. I do get a bit peed off when good shows go too wild by suddenly having a child born who is going to be some kind of saviour, and suddenly there are prophecies etc; as in shows like Angel and Being Human, for instance. Perfectly good shows get ruined by stuff like that.
Watched this by pure chance... I'm really enjoying it!

Watching again tonight but unless it grabs me with something fantastic I might give up. Pretty bland so far.
Then again it took me a while to get into Fringe and now I'm obsessed.
Tonights episode was a lot better than the last couple

I like Grimm, last night's episode has been the best so far.
It reminds me of Supernatural in it's glory days,I just hope that Grimm doesn't go down the same path as Supernatural did.
I am so bored with this programme, it started off with such promise, but got so mundane so quickly. Nothing makes much sense. Why is the Police Chief so evil with some? Why does he let that blonde woman/creature kill others? and why let her try to kill Grimm's Aunt but not Grimm? Little makes sense with the programme?
I will probably persevere with series one now, but doubt unless it strongly improves I will bother with series two.

Did this improve? I watched episode one and felt disappointed with it, then forgot to watch the rest.

I think it got a bit slow over a couple of episodes like the same old story each week with different characters but the latest one was actually a lot better imo, I'm looking forward to tonights again now.

Is anybody still watching this? We're about 6 episodes in and it just doesn't seem to be moving anywhere. I don't want to look back on the thread in case I see a potential spoiler.
Does it move on from all the self contained episodes, is there any kinda back story going on?

I loved the look of this in the trailers for it and kept meaning to catch it: but never seem to remember to watch it.
By the sounds of things: perhaps I'mn not missing much.
I'm still watching even though it is quite repetitive a lot of the time, there is still a back story going on with Captain Renard and I think Hank seems to be getting a bit more suspicious of things that are going on, Sgt Wu seems to have disappeared though and he was one of my fave characters.

Grimm gets a bit repetitive after a bit, but then there's always an episode that comes up that pushes the plot forward and makes me stick with the show.

Yep.
Started back last night but I missed it, it's back on in 20 minutes so will catch it then.
